“If I could give a thousand stars I would!<br>Jakubek Inc remodeled our entire basement, including a bedroom, entertainment area, a bathroom, they also put in a bar. What used to be a clean slate before, and then, after it flooded, a dump, became our pride and joy thanks to Robert, Dawid and their team. This has been our first extensive home project, and having them as our contractors made it that much more seamless and less stressful.<br>We had a lot to get done within a specific time frame. Despite being booked for months in advance, Dawid found a slot to accomodate our project, and he and the crew knocked it out in 3 weeks. They even worked Saturdays and holidays to make sure it would be finished on time. Always punctual, hardworking, honest and respectful. We were in awe of their craftsmanship and attention to detail.<br>Robert is a wiz at his craft, he accomodated several of our last minute ideas, made the impossible become possible in the nick of time.<br>Dawid was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process, always communicated promptly despite his extremely busy schedule and always had an explanation, advice and an alternative on hand when needed.<br>They even fixed numerous problems with our home that came to light during construction and weren’t included in the original plan.<br>Having this crew around brought much peace, confidence and enjoyment into what otherwise has been a stressful, challenging and testing time in our lives, having dealt with the flood, insurance company and our first major remodel.<br><br>I would recommend them to anyone looking to do anything in their home. “Working with Joel and Unique Deck Builders has been one of the best construction project experiences we're ever experienced. We had to have our deck torn apart and removed to fix a bad roof on a small condo building in Chicago. Joel removed the existing deck and salvaged as much of the materials (mostly outdoor kitchen equipment) as possible, and then entirely rebuilt our rooftop with new Deckorators composite decking and the salvaged items. The finished product is beautiful and much better than what it was before, which had been done by a different rooftop builder originally. All of Joel's team was great to work with! They were all pleasant, fun, interactive, and willing to modify what they were doing to meet both our expectations and their own of themselves. Lastly, Joel himself has been fabulous to work with. He made many stops here before we started to make sure he had a good grasp of what was wanted/needed, and then periodically along the way as the project progressed. I feel that he not only was a contractor, but that we became friends along the way as well.<br><br>I would highly recommend using Unique Deck builders for any deck or rooftop project you might be considering.
