“The hardwood on our stairs had deep gouges and the finish was completely worn off on the high-traffic treads. It looked bad and felt rough underfoot. CM'S Wood Stairs sanded all the treads and risers down and applied a fresh finish that brought the wood back to life. The gouges are gone and the surface is smooth again. They also tightened up the railing posts while they were working since a couple had some give to them. The staircase feels sturdy and looks consistent from top to bottom now, which is a nice change.“

“My wife and I are both seniors and though we wanted new carpeting, we knew we weren’t able to move furniture by ourselves. So we went shopping for carpet with stipulation that installers would move and return everything to its place. Key carpet quoted us the best price, thousands less than other quotes. We were a little worried and skeptical of the lower quote but decided to go with it. We took samples of the carpet we bought to other vendors to compare and were assured that it was very good quality. That made us more confident of the decision. Installation day came and we just sat while installers did all the heavy moving and installing. It took them the whole day to complete the job and they worked their butts off. They disassembled beds and furniture and put everything back the way they found it. We were more than pleased with the whole project and the quality of the carpet and installation. “This is the third time that we have used JEA Flooring as our flooring contractor. Our first Project was installing three kitchen floors and a stairwell in our 1953 Evanston three unit. The project was tricky, but JEA did a great job. We recently opened Button Bakery in Evanston and had JEA install a commercial grade Exelon flooring tile made by Armstrong. The bakery floor looks beautiful, wears and cleans well. Because we had leftover tile, and the same tile in other colors was available at Menards, we hired JEA again to tile the basement floor. The JEA team worked around our timeline, were talented, fast, efficient, and very pleasant. We highly recommend this company for your flooring project.“
