“I had a major surgery performed in late January at NHC, and was referred to All Quality Home Health Care by the hospital's social worker. Anna was the nurse assigned to my care, and she proactively reached out to me and stopped by the house for my first visit on the day following my release.

For the next 2 months, Anna visited weekly, or as needed, offering excellent care during my recovery. Anna is professional, knowledgeable, diligent, caring and personable; a true gem!

“I recently began using BrightStar Care with my father three days a week to slowly transition them into the home care idea. We were blessed to have a gentleman named Al come to their home. He was amazing! He found out what they were looking for and stepped right in to help with some house hold chores like cleaning my dad's bathroom, making him lunch and helping him get moving such; as walking the house. He is open to playing board games and talking about all sorts of topics with my dad. Al understands my dads crazy dry humor and laughs at all the jokes we have heard for years. Having fresh ears for these jokes is a wonder for us all. “I was recently hospitalized for a hip replacement, and found that I had greatly underestimated the impact of the procedure and my ability to care for myself at home. I was in a panic as North-Shore/Skokie hospital was going to discharge me the next day. A friend referred me to Jamie Shapiro and Companion Services (Deerfield). She quickly put my mind at ease arranged for someone to care for me my first night home. She also arranged for coverage the next 6 nights, by two caregivers. Although I wasn't sure what my needs were, I told Jamie that I'd rather have someone and not need them than need someone and not have them! All three women were absolute Angels! “My mom made great friends while she was a resident in memory care (Crossings). She had really good care there and was very comfortable. Definitely the brightest light there came from Jenniffer, the health and wellness coordinator. She had a magic touch with all of the residents, and they all loved her, especially my mother. All of the activities she coordinated were done with a constant smile and laughter. For my mom's birthday, she helped me throw a party. She made sure that all the residents had a great time complete with music, and dancing and singing. She helped me decorate and even made a fruit punch. She made it a real party and made my mom feel very special. Both me and my mom miss her very much!“

“Regarding the care given my husband. The nurses and the social worker were great. The CNA talked a lot about herself and her troubles as my husband lay dying. A substitute CNA told my daughter and I to “have a good one” as she left us … again we were sitting vigil by his bed with just days left. Nurses great and social worker great! CNAs could use sensitivity training. He died a month and a half ago and we have never heard a word since then.“

“Chanda was sent to us by Griswold Home Care. He took care of my Mom, who had dementia, for the last three years. He has to be the most gentle and caring man that I have ever met. “I have multiple visits now for home health covered by my health insurance after a major surgery. The care givers have all been knowledgeable W/ the task on hand. They were both good communicators as well, as far as an ETA When they were gonna arrive and if they were running late keeping me updated.

Traycee was the only service to call us back out of 6 or 7 that we tried, and we had a caregiver by 9pm that evening.
