My wife and I moved to Brookdale a few months ago and we love it here. The apartment is very comfortable but we especially like the activities. The food is excellent and we look forward to the meals.
I love living here. The physical facility is beautiful. There are highly varied, quality activities all day long. I find opportunities to laugh and have fun every day. The staff is dedicated and capable. I can tell that they are really invested in helping provide the best quality life possible here. I have not been lonely one day since I moved here over a year ago. Also, my children are thrilled that I am living this well at this time of my life.
My wife and I moved from California to be closer to our son who would be available if needed. He lives rather close by. We moved into a Senior facility and lived there for about 7 months. It was horrible and so we moved into a "fancier" facility and paid over $3,000 more a month. I say that the theme of every day was, "We are short staffed today." (For plus $3,000 a month more.) The smoke detector went off in the middle of the night and they had no one working who could fix it! They told us to just sleep through it and someone would come in the morning - WHAT?
