“I can't say enough about Modell funeral home, especially Andrew and his wife Christina. They helped our family with preplanning and when we accually needed to use their services they were right at our side to make sure our needs and wishes we met. Andrew got to know my family and listened to what was important to all of us. My husband owned a classic car and Andrew asked if we would like to park his car in front of the funeral home during visitatations. It was such a personl touch to honor him. They helped us through the whole process which gave me peace of mind during the painful process of buring your spouse.
It is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do and I will be forever be grateful to Modell for making the process worry free for our family. They take care of everything you need and stayed in contact with me afterwards to make sure I was ok and help with anything I might still need.

“The slideshow was the best. I brought in random pics of various sizes and they got all of them in. Photo albums, cards, pictures in frames and a few items were displayed well and accessible around the room. The flowers were better than expected. My mom looked good and was dressed as she was in life, right down to the perfume provided. Everything I brought as well as the funeral cards and death certificates were packed up neatly in the bags for pickup the next day.“

“I can’t say enough about how well cared for we felt by Phillip and the wonderful team at Montclair-Lucania. No one wants to plan a funeral, but they made the process stress-free and added thoughtful touches that made the service truly special. The banquet-hall style room suited my father so much more than a traditional space, and the catering area, and overflow spaces gave our family room to gather comfortably. A beautiful slideshow, table for family photos and artifacts, and a Bluetooth speaker for my dad’s favorite songs turned the atmosphere into more of a celebration of life than a somber occasion.

The team’s attention to detail was amazing, from providing wheelchairs and walkers when needed, to coordinating everything seamlessly on the day of. The building itself is lovely, with ample parking, so it was very easy for our guests.

Most of all, Phillip’s professionalism and kindness stood out, even as he took my family’s offbeat humor in stride during such a difficult time. “I highly recommend Lack and Sons Funeral Home. Matt made it a super easy and painless process. Jen did a great job in the office with the obituary. They were super responsive and timely to all our emails and texts. We lost our dad in a fire, and Matt did a great job accommodating, and going above and beyond to help us during this tragic time. Everyone at the wake felt very welcoming, and my kids even made mention of how nice it was. We were the only service that evening so having the whole facility to ourselves let us really add all the personnel touches we needed for our father.
