“On January 6, our Mother expired. Immediately, Sax-Tiedemann was contacted. With calm and soothing voices, Mia and Tim arrived at the home to transport our Mother to the funeral home with empathy and compassion. Mia, our funeral director, commenced the preparations, in a timely manner. She was knowledgeable and thorough. Her suggestions were extremely helpful, due to us not knowing the process of burying a loved one. Mia made us feel at ease, as if she was part of our family. We will never forget this feeling. She tried to make the experience, as stress free as possible. No negative words can be spoken about this establishment. We will recommend Sax-Tiedemann to family and friends, in the future. “The grounds are nicely maintained. When visiting Ridgewood, there is a feeling of peace and serenity. If there is a problem with an existing grave marker, the office is sensitive and responsive in caring for any issue. The entire office staff is pleasant to work with,; without exception. They went above and beyond to hunt down the burial plot of one of our fallen Korean War heroes, whose information was entered over 75 years ago and was not seemingly accessible. They took extra time and effort to hunt it down, much to the appreciation of the Veterans association documenting those we lost during that war.“

Eric Shoesmith and Beth Moscatello ensured that everything was in order at all times, and their calm, steady presence brought us great comfort. The entire team was incredibly attentive and handled every detail efficiently, from coordinating with the hospital through the gravesite service.

I was especially impressed by the thoughtful touches — the beautiful prayer cards, the memory photobook for signatures, and the care taken during the wake to ensure beverages and utensils were always replenished. Nadine and Erin were wonderful and so attentive throughout. The limousines throughout the funeral day were perfectly coordinated, making the day flow smoothly.

It was truly an easy process handled by a team that went above and beyond to make us feel supported and cared for during such a difficult time. Their warmth and professionalism made something so painful a much more manageable experience for our entire family.

“We cannot praise Cappetta’s West Suburban Funeral House enough for their help with our mother’s funeral. Both Tony and Anthony were kind and helpful. During the pre-planning step in January, Tony provided all the information we needed and answered all our questions without being intrusive. He even helped us with life insurance policy phone calls. When Mom passed away in May, they guided us through last minute planning and made a difficult time much easier. The communication with the cemetery was also seamless.

The setup at the Downers Grove facility is excellent. The chapel is on one side of the building and only a single family is hosted. We mourned our mother privately and the short service was lovely. The minister recommended by Tony had a long talk with the family and his remarks were as if he really knew our mother personally. The flowers ordered through the funeral home were absolutely gorgeous.

Across the hall is a ‘rest’ or ‘cafe’ area where we were able to take a break when needed to and just visit with our friends and family. We had a catered lunch set up through Cappettas. The sandwiches, crudite, and dessert were excellent.“
