Everything was going well until I tried to turn off the water ?

Turns out the spigot had cracked during the winter time. Thankfully it didn't lead to any flooding or other issues, but it couldn't be turned off from the outside.

I called First Chicago Plumbing and they sent one of their crew members within a couple of days. I made it clear this was not an emergency and just needed it done eventually, yet someone came out quick to diagnose and give me options.

Plumber arrived on time and told me what my options were, we decided cutting out the drywall and installing a new spigot with a valve inside so it can be turned off was the best plan of action.

The plumber was in and out within a few hours and he cleaned up any mess he made.

Overall the service was prompt, affordable and not headache inducing like most home repairs are.
