“Chanda was sent to us by Griswold Home Care. He took care of my Mom, who had dementia, for the last three years. He has to be the most gentle and caring man that I have ever met. He grew to be one of our family, and was with us when she died. He showed compassion, understanding, companionship, and happily saw to taking care of everything she needed 24/7. “Regarding the care given my husband. The nurses and the social worker were great. The CNA talked a lot about herself and her troubles as my husband lay dying. A substitute CNA told my daughter and I to “have a good one” as she left us … again we were sitting vigil by his bed with just days left. Nurses great and social worker great! CNAs could use sensitivity training. He died a month and a half ago and we have never heard a word since then.“

“My mom made great friends while she was a resident in memory care (Crossings). She had really good care there and was very comfortable. Definitely the brightest light there came from Jenniffer, the health and wellness coordinator. She had a magic touch with all of the residents, and they all loved her, especially my mother. All of the activities she coordinated were done with a constant smile and laughter. For my mom's birthday, she helped me throw a party. She made sure that all the residents had a great time complete with music, and dancing and singing. She helped me decorate and even made a fruit punch. She made it a real party and made my mom feel very special. Both me and my mom miss her very much!“

She quickly put my mind at ease arranged for someone to care for me my first night home. She also arranged for coverage the next 6 nights, by two caregivers. Although I wasn't sure what my needs were, I told Jamie that I'd rather have someone and not need them than need someone and not have them! All three women were absolute Angels! I was so grateful for their sweetness, compassion and skill, and I know my recovery was greatly enhanced by their help and the peace of mind they provided. For the next 2 months, Anna visited weekly, or as needed, offering excellent care during my recovery. Anna is professional, knowledgeable, diligent, caring and personable; a true gem!

“My 90 year old dad had been in assisted living with limited assistance before he had a fall. After a four day hospital stay and 3 weeks in rehab, his physical abilities were diminished. We found Assisting Hands and began 24/7 care for him in his unit, with 5 caregivers alternating shifts (one primary handling weekdays.). My sisters and I are very happy with each of the gentlemen that have worked with my dad so far. He hasn't made a peep about now having 24/7 caregivers. We are all a little surprised by that, but I do think it is a testament to the character and helpfulness of each of the men he has been with. And I've been impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of your staff whenever I've called. It really is a pleasure dealing with everyone at Assisting Hands. Traycee was the only service to call us back out of 6 or 7 that we tried, and we had a caregiver by 9pm that evening.
