I found Bud's Florist while searching for a birthday bouquet for my friend, and I'm so glad I decided to give them a chance. I was honestly a little hesitant because of some older Google reviews, but they were over a year old, so I decided to judge them based on my own experience.

This was the first time I've ever worked directly with a florist instead of placing an order online, and I'm really happy I did. Even though I was ordering all the way from Georgia for a delivery in Illinois, the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. The lady I spoke with was amazing. She answered all of my questions, helped me customize the arrangement, and never made me feel like I was asking for too much. I requested several modifications, and when one of my ideas would've required coloring the flowers in a way that might not look good, she was honest and offered professional advice instead. I trusted her judgment, and it absolutely paid off.

They even went out of their way to get balloons that weren't offered on their website so I could make the gift exactly how I wanted. I also called a couple of times for updates, and every interaction was friendly and helpful.

When my friend received the bouquet, she absolutely loved it. The flowers were fresh, beautifully arranged, and looked even better than I expected. The balloons were perfect, and everything came together exactly as I had hoped. I've attached photos so others can see the final result for themselves.

If you're reading this and wondering whether to order from Bud's Florist, don't let the older reviews discourage you. Give them a chance. Based on my experience, they provided excellent customer service, beautiful flowers, and an outstanding overall experience. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.“

“I can't say enough about Modell funeral home, especially Andrew and his wife Christina. They helped our family with preplanning and when we accually needed to use their services they were right at our side to make sure our needs and wishes we met. Andrew got to know my family and listened to what was important to all of us. My husband owned a classic car and Andrew asked if we would like to park his car in front of the funeral home during visitatations. It was such a personl touch to honor him. They helped us through the whole process which gave me peace of mind during the painful process of buring your spouse.
It is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do and I will be forever be grateful to Modell for making the process worry free for our family. They take care of everything you need and stayed in contact with me afterwards to make sure I was ok and help with anything I might still need.

I was especially impressed by the thoughtful touches — the beautiful prayer cards, the memory photobook for signatures, and the care taken during the wake to ensure beverages and utensils were always replenished. Nadine and Erin were wonderful and so attentive throughout. The limousines throughout the funeral day were perfectly coordinated, making the day flow smoothly.

It was truly an easy process handled by a team that went above and beyond to make us feel supported and cared for during such a difficult time. Their warmth and professionalism made something so painful a much more manageable experience for our entire family.

“Mike and his team have done a fantastic job with their services. I really appreciated that during the initial meeting he didn’t try to upsell us on stuff (casket, flowers, etc.). Obviously this was a difficult time for my family and he was extremely helpful navigating everything.

The way the rooms are set up are great for traditional sitting on one side and another section with round tables that allow people to talk and visit. They also have two sets of fridges/cabinets in the kitchen, as there was another service the same day, and it made it easy to separate whose family brought what. The thank yous were easy with the computer check in process so we didn’t have to hand write all the addresses for thank you cards.

For the actual service, they were very organized for the procession and directing everyone on where to go. I have unfortunately been to a fair number of funerals, and most of the time the procession from the funeral home to the church/cemetery can get very confusing, but Mike and his team made everything incredibly smooth.

They were super responsive and timely to all our emails and texts. We lost our dad in a fire, and Matt did a great job accommodating, and going above and beyond to help us during this tragic time. Everyone at the wake felt very welcoming, and my kids even made mention of how nice it was. We were the only service that evening so having the whole facility to ourselves let us really add all the personnel touches we needed for our father. Even after my dog got a hold of my dad’s ashes, Matt offered to help us with pulling more out of the urn as I was heartbroken over what happened.“
