I went in feeling discouraged and unsure of what to expect, but her knowledge, compassion, and skill made all the difference. She explains everything in a way that makes you feel informed, comfortable, and supported, and her approach is gentle but incredibly effective. For the first time in a long time, I’m feeling real relief and genuine progress. I’m so grateful for Geneé’s expertise and care, and I highly recommend her to anyone dealing with post cancer, hysterectomy, child birth, or any pelvic floor issues. She has truly changed my quality of life! Also, she's just so much fun and has a great sense of humor!“

2590 Peachtree Industrial Blvd ste d, Duluth“My sibling who lives in another state recommended Vitality Method Studio because their instructor recommended Joel Crosby as a Pilates instructor. I've had a few private sessions with Joel, and wow, this guy is incredible. Lucky for me, he just opened this new studio in Snellville.
For those who aren't too familiar with Pilates, it was invented by Joseph Pilates (From Germany), who was sick as a child and created his own physical training system to improve his strength. He later became a professional boxer and self-defense trainer and eventually moved to the USA and opened his own gym in NYC.
Now, to my point--there are different styles of Pilates today, but the original form is called Classical Pilates. This is the one you want to do, and Vitality Method Studio focuses solely on the Classical Pilates Method based on Joseph Pilates' techniques and scientific-based exercises (Physical Therapists use these exercises as well).
Coming here, I didn't know much about Pilates and wasn't sure how intense the workout would be. You really work your entire body with these exercises, with the main focus on building core strength, correcting posture, and aligning the body. If you're a guy like me, you might think this stuff is easy, but these exercises are exactly what your body needs.
Joel is very professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and also teaches other instructors. He knows his craft, having taught Pilates for 25 years and worked as a fitness trainer for 31 years. He's an awesome guy, and I would highly recommend this place for anyone--moms, dads, professional athletes, everyone.
What I like is that the sessions you do with him are based on where you are currently, so everything is custom to you. As you continue to work with him, your exercises progress into something more challenging.“

She helped me connect to my body in a way I've never connected before and gave me immediate relief from hip pain I've had for many years. She did this through a virtual session with me online. She notices the most subtle issues in how your body is misaligned, and she can guide you to realign with gentle moves that are far more powerful than they seem while you perform them. In mere minutes, I was walking better, and in less than two hours, I could feel my hip go back into place with a relaxed feeling I seldom feel in that hip.
Maria is a very talented multimodal healer!“

210 S Main St Suite E, Alpharetta“I've been curious about trying pilates to see if it was for me. The reformers and moves were overwhelming in thought, but I wanted to try it for myself before I made a meaningful opinion.
I attended a 30 minute complimentary class for non-members. The instructor showed us the basics of the reformer and then we did an abridged class. I will say, as a first-timer it was a bit much to process, but that was ME.
That being said, I knew a couple of things. 1) I was loving this workout even if I didn't completely know what I was doing LOL. In a short period of time I was already shaking. My workouts traditionally consist of cardio, HIIT, and strength training, but this was something different...and I loved the challenge 2) If I gave it a couple of full-length classes, I'd pick up the cues.
After class, I decided to enroll in the 8 classes a month membership. I got home, downloaded the app (super easy to use!) and ended up signing up for 8 classes in the two weeks available to book out. Whoops. The next day, I went to attend my first full-length class and upgraded to the unlimited membership. I'm hooked.
Each instructor has been wonderful. It's obvious they all have a passion for the practice and their cues have been much easier to understand as each class goes by. It's like a yoga flow in many ways. I look forward to my pilates days and am happy to travel the 25 minutes to the studio. I leave feeling strong, accomplished, and centered. So grateful for BODYBAR!“

I feel so lucky to have Jennifer nearby! She designs sessions based around my goals and offers great feedback to help me get the most out of the movements. I highly recommend her to anyone - she makes Pilates accessible.“

I also like that the class package you purchase doesn’t expire for a year. The classes are small and I have never had a problem getting into classes at the last minute which is good for me. Hmmm maybe I shouldn’t be telling everyone this well kept secret:)“

The lobby smells terrific, the equipment is clean and comfortable, and you leave better than when you arrived. Maria-Elena is so kind and skilled at her practice. She works with me on lymphatic drainage massage and has recently started using Cranial Sacral Therapy. I cannot believe how much better I feel since being a patient at Above Physical Therapy. Maria-Elena makes me feel so comfortable, and she is guiding me through my healing journey with great success. If I could go and visit them every day, I would.“

Edited: I have since moved out of the Atlanta area and been to other pilates places, but none of them have been as good as Jimin. She is very detailed oriented, kind, and encouraging. In additional, the environment at Pilates of Dunwoody is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend it!“

I could not say enough good things about her and her facility.
