“Dr. Heard and his staff have exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with them as my puppy's vet! During the exam Dr. Heard is very informative and so friendly with my puppy Milky, you can really tell that it is very important for him and his staff that Milky is comfortable and happy and not afraid of her vet visit. He also makes you feel secure that your pet is in good hands. What really stood out to me is that Dr. Heard really wants you as the pet owner to understand exactly what he is doing and involves you in your pets examination by explaining every single thing he does and by letting you help calm your pet during uncomfortable moments for the puppy like vaccinations. I have never seen a vet with such great bedside manner and I am so happy my puppy feels comfortable at the vet. Everyone is so kind and helpful and you can tell they all really love what they do. I would recommend Dr. Heard to anyone!“
“We switched to Briarlake Animal Hospital in Nov of 2023. We have 11 year old cats (sisters). The yearly check up was so calm and lovely. The staff was kind and helpful, the vet and tech were SUPER informative and explained everything. Turns out both needed teeth cleaning so we took them in yesterday for that. They stayed in touch with us ALL DAY, the vet called me TWICE, once after cleaning each cat's teeth, to let me know how they're doing and what the results were. And when we went to pick the up, the staff were all super supportive, helpful with at home care info, and came to tell us how much the loved having our babies there. And Dr. Hiro came out (he did the procedures) to check in. 100% love this practice and will say and recommend.“

“So happy we found Dr. Segura on the recommendation of our realtor. We relocated from out of state with a 17 year old chihuahua who within days of the move fell ill, I was so worried to trust someone new with our very elderly dog. Dr. Segura was the best end of life care for Rocco. She treated him with dignity (so many vets do not like chihuahuas), we fully expected not to leave that day with him and Dr. Segura made it possible for him to enjoy life in GA for 2 months prior to his passing. Our new puppy sees Dr Segura and any future pet we have will see her as well.“

I contacted Pet Preferred Diagnostics (PPD) because my dog wasn’t loving his food, he would sneeze often, and would lick his paws so much that my floors would be soaked in a small puddle. My friend suggested that he might have some allergies and referred me to PPD. I gave them a call, and Dr. Khris was incredibly helpful and explained what the causes might be. He also discussed how they could test for a wide variety of different allergens, and the solutions to help my dog, Mickey, feel better. Coordinating between my vet and PPD was quick and easy, and it took just a day to get results! Dr. Khris immediately called me and reviewed the food and seasonal allergies Mickey had, and how to remedy them. After adjusting his diet and wiping his paws after walks, Mickey’s symptoms improved significantly and there are no more slobber puddles. I’ve referred several friends to PPD since!“

Dr. Bell goes above and beyond for our two pups, who in recent years have had an endless array of issues, from allergies to needing preventative surgery to remove a scary lump that was looking suspicious. Dr. Bell gave us every option imaginable and our surgery was made affordable because of an expert she works with. All our fears are always addressed (and thoroughly!), and I just can't express my gratitude enough for their level of care. Vets work exceptionally difficult jobs that can result in compassion fatigue, and my heart goes out to this hardworking crew. I've heard horror stories of how people treat vets sometimes, so I sincerely hope this staff is approached with the same level of care they give our little family members. “My 5 year old Shepherd has a long standing history of generally allergy issues/itchiness. She regularly gets allergy injections and then there are the ears. Oh the fun of keeping a German Shepherd's ear clean, debris & yeast/infection free. Try as I might, seems too consistently I need a higher intervention. Her normal vet (who has gone so far downhill) couldn't even return a phone call. I googled local pet urgent cares near me and noticed Animal Emergency Care of Dunwoody. Read their reviews (very recent and most almost 5 stars), so I decided to go in. I was greeted warmly by Henry. Quickly went back to an exam room. Vet tech came in to get the general nature of the visit. Took Storm back to the exam room. Shortly after, Dr. Van Beuren came in and explained what she observed thus far and right ear definitely looked back. My Shepherd has extreme anxiety and the ear REALLY painful. They provided her with a pain killer injection, an anti-inflammatory injection AND a Valium injection. They were able to thoroughly exam & clean both ears. Diagnosed her with a DOUBLE ear infection in both ears, provided her with a 1 dose long acting topical ear medication and trimmed her nails. Dr. Van Beuren took the time to explain so many things to me and I left feeling SUCH A LOAD OF STRESS OFF! Thank you so much to the Dr. and entire staff for being so kind. Would 100% recommend!“
