Friday night, I noticed that our basement toilet was not flushing and the sewer pump was not kicking on. After doing a little investigating, I suspected that our sewer pump had finally failed.
I got on Google Maps and found On Point Plumbing. I called Brian and explained what was happening. He told me this was absolutely something he could address and, to my surprise, offered to come out the very next morning at 8:30 a.m.
Brian called ahead, arrived on time, assessed the system, and confirmed that the sewer pump was no longer functioning. He was actually surprised to learn that the existing pump had lasted 21 years. He thoroughly explained the replacement process and recommended replacing the basin lid and upgrading the existing check valve, which was a cheaper-quality valve.
After providing us with a clear quote, Brian got right to work and completed the entire job within about five hours.
One of the best parts of the experience was that Brian discovered the existing sewer basin lid had never been properly secured and was leaking. For years, we had occasionally noticed an unpleasant sewer smell in the basement and never knew exactly why. Brian identified the problem, properly sealed and secured the new lid, and completely remediated the issue.
We could not be happier with the quality of his work. In fact, because we were so impressed with the sewer pump replacement, we asked Brian to look at several other plumbing issues and projects around our home. He took the time to evaluate everything, answer our questions, and provide thoughtful recommendations and quotes.
We have worked with other plumbers in the area and have unfortunately experienced questionable workmanship and highly exaggerated pricing. Our experience with Brian was completely different. Seriously, my pain on the drive home had been reduced by at least 75-85%. It was like she’d masterfully pushed my nerves and muscles back into their respective places and gently told them to shut up, and they listened. Other than her specifically, everything and everyone else here has been wonderful to deal with. The building and the stairs can seem a little weird at first if you aren’t used to old buildings, but the vibe once you’re in there is perfectly fine and relaxing.
I’ve never tried any of their other services other than massage, but I imagine they treat everything with the same professional level of care and attention.
Bonus tip: I got turned on to the CBD oil “rainbow maker” add on at one point, and that stuff is awesome. I honestly don’t know if it makes a huge difference in loosening my muscles, but if nothing else, it smells great and adds to the overall relaxing experience. Treat yo’self!

Saving grace is truly a blessing they were kind professional and didn’t try to break my bank the hot water went out out and we were so worried that we would be talked into getting a new water heater which would have bin unnecessary but thanks to saving grace and there experience we only had to buy a part they were in and out in a flash I recommend them for any job big or small thank you Tim so much for getting us all warmed up again . Burgess Electric to the rescue. Came out this morning to look at electric panel which was hit by lightening. He went and got a new main breaker, called GaPwr to shut down power, went to city got a permit to repair, replaced new breaker, called Alpharetta electrical inspector who came right out and approved the repair and he then called GaPwr to come out and restore power. 5 stars is not enough for the work that was done in my home. I didn’t know where to start when the hot water tank blew in my house and water everywhere. Damages to my kitchen and floors. My daughter found Taylor Construction on Google. The owner Nick Taylor came out to assess the damage, took pictures and explained everything in detail that was going to take place which was overwhelming. His crew jumped right in and took care of everything from demo to reconstruction and the interaction with my insurance adjuster. The job took a few months but at the end it was worth it because when we returned to our home it was beautiful. Taylor Construction in my eyes is the best for anyone’s home remodel inside and out. So if anyone needs me to give a reference I’ll be more than happy to just ask Nick and he knows how to reach me. A million stars for Taylor Construction.

Henry and his crew do a great job every week. I have used them for lawn maintenance for a few years now and am very pleased with the work they do. They keep the bushes and trees trimmed on a regular basis which gives the house a clean look throughout the growing season. A number of my neighbors have also signed up with Lorenzo Landscaping for maintenance and are very pleased. He's also done hardscape design/installation in the area and his work is phenomenal. Hard working man with a great crew and reasonable pricing, would certainly recommend.

I had an outstanding experience with Dentistry at Hickory Flat. Dr. Lee and Dr. Mehta were able to see me on very short notice when I developed a painful tooth problem. After a thorough examination, they quickly diagnosed the issue and immediately referred me to an excellent endodontist.
What impressed me most was their level of care and communication. From my initial appointment through my root canal and follow-up, everything happened within 48 hours. They even checked back with me after the procedure to make sure I was doing well.
My tooth has been repaired, I’m experiencing almost no pain, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received. We have been taking our 4 dogs to Persimmon Creek for many years. We love the vets as well as the vet techs. We know our dogs are in good hands there.
Our visit was absolutely one of the best. We bought in our cat suffering with a growth on his neck which is malignant. The vet techs were professional, friendly and made us feel at ease. Boo Boo was taken for his exam and following that, our vet came in to give us the results of the exam. She explained everything about the mass on BooBoo's throat and all of the implications that meant to his health. We felt very comfortable with her and were very pleased that she took the time to make sure we understood the process. She offered us a couple of options for the chemo that needs to follow the surgery to remove the mass. Pleasantly surprised at the charge for the exam since we have used other services in Canton that charge more for less service. This is one of the best!

My first experience with Hickory Flat Animal Hospital was a couple years ago, when I had to say goodbye to my beloved old rescue dog. The staff at HFAH were absolutely, wonderfully compassionate and made this extremely difficult moment much more manageable. Since then, I have taken my pets to HFAH exclusively and have always had an excellent experience. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and professional, and they have always answered questions I've had about medications, procedures, and so on with confidence, expertise, and clarity. Cannot recommend Hickory Flat Animal Hospital enough. Would rate more stars if I could.
