“Today I had acupuncture for the first time in my life. It did not hurt at all so get that myth out of your mind. First my ear (just one of them not both) were stuck with thin hair like needles. I think about 5 or so to help me quit smoking. A nasty habit that I am glad to try anything to rid myself of! I didnt feel any pain as they were inserted one by one. I also talked about my diet and what was not good for me. Would you believe spinach! Thats right spinach is horrible for you! Im no doctor so if cutting spinach out of my life will help so be it! I also will be returning twice a week for about a month.No, normal insurance does not cover these visits so its out of pocket and a bit pricey BUT the cost I would have spent buying packs of cigarettes at 8 dollars I will be invested back into my health and correcting it in a healthy manner. I will re review after the first month as I will be on a detox drink mornings and evenings as well as eating in between drinks. It detoxes my body. Try some acupuncture if you always have wanted to! I did! It was painless and it will work for me!“

“Having dealt with severe pain in my shoulder that was getting worse worse I went to Dr D'Amora to see what he thought. He suggested PRP - platelet rich plasma - this process involves no drugs or surgery. Your own blood is drawn and spun down to a concentrated solution injected back into the shoulder area. While I had been skeptical about the regenerative properties of this treatment, after three treatments over a couple of months time the pain began decreasing and the range of motion increased. Now it has been about six months since the first treatment and I am totally pain free with fully normal range of motion restored. I met Paulo and his team in my late 40's after having to stop working out and being active with nine herniated discs and was told I'd need to go on pain killers and have epidural back treatments for the rest of my life. I didn't want that and wanted to find a healthy way back. Fit Factor was the answer. I worked with Paulo, the owner of FFT, as he too was a back pain sufferer. What I found unique about Fit Factor (and why I'm an advocate) was aside from all the trainers being certified, they actually designed programs around my specific needs. Other trainers I've worked with it was like a production line, whatever they did with the person before, was my workout too.
