In fact, my A/C was still running pretty good when I decided to replace it October 2025 for a new more efficient unit. “Taking over my Aunts home, she did not keep any info on the massive ac unit that she was scammed into buying. 18k total was her expense for a unit that belongs on a 2 story house not a 1900 sq ft manufactured home. When it went out only 2 yrs later, we called Merritt Island Air & Heat. W in the hour they had Dustin here and diagnosing the problem. Part had to be ordered. Instead of making us wait till Friday (would have been 4 days) another technician drove to Orlando and was able to get the part and very next day installed and working beautifully!! That's a above and beyond job right there! Dustin fixed all the issues the original installers did poorly and the ac is now blowing even harder than before. Less humidity inside my home now, which will also help lower the fpl bill.
Learn the installers of the ac from original business wired the unit improperly which caused the entire unit to work overtime and blew the motor up. It's not even a full 2 years old.

“We had a new variable speed York System installed. Keandre, Orlando, & Bo did a great job. They were very respectful and polite the whole time they were here. Deandre explained the new system to me before he left. We were without air for only one night when they pulled all of the old ductwork out. Deandre even pointed out the we had some issues with a couple of our roof trusses.“

“I got a Trane A/C until about 4 years ago from Ellington Air. I also got the $14/mo service contract, which turned out to be a good decision as the Trane A/C unit has had constant problems. I've found the repair technitians at Ellington to be capable, honest, and responsive. Also, Ellington can often offer same-day.service. My complaint is with the manufacturer of our unit, Trane, not Ellington. For example, we just learned that the main circuit board in our Trane system has failed for the SECOND time. It's roughly a $1,000 item, mostly but not completely covered by the warranty and service plan. To have failed twice, I've got to conclude these boards are not well designed. I'd note that none of our other appliances, some of which are several years old, has failed during the 4 years we had our Trane A/C unit. I got a response to my post from Ellington noting Ellington sells other brands, which I hadn't realized. Since my complaint was about Trane, not Ellington, I changed my rating of Ellington to 4 stars. Just avoid buying a Trane A/C system from anyone.“
