We had a complete gut renovation of our 1925 Capitol Hill townhouse and set up a weekly meeting with Jeff and our architect. Those meetings helped us quickly move through any issues that came up and also spared us lots of headaches.

Our renovation took about a year from start to finish and we continue to appreciate the quality of the work, and also greatly valued the expertise provided by Jeff.

Every big renovation has challenges but we really felt as though Jeff and his team provided good efforts on getting to the finish.“

“Hammer designed and built our new kitchen and powder room. It was a big project since this wasn’t an existing kitchen space, but our old dining room and an office/bathroom. The space is completely transformed. Our friends and neighbors can’t believe their eyes when they visit. It was a long process, but the skilled employees (Doug, David, Johanna, Santiago and Nelson) of Hammer walked us through every step of the way and took care of all the details. Having wrapped up the process 5 months ago, I’m pleased at how everything played out. I would recommend them for projects where you’re looking to elevate your space. They won’t be the cheapest option, though if you don’t have the time to micromanage a project, then you should hire Hammer to do it for you.“

They gave a very prompt estimate and came all three days at the stated time -- almost to the minute, and even calling to apologize for being caught in traffic for 15 minutes (as if that was in their control!). “I recently completed a full renovation of my row house with Fairmont Developers, and I couldn't be happier with the results. “Quality, schedule, and price: pick two,” is the classic saying. Instead our project was completed ahead of schedule, just under budget, and the quality of the work was excellent. And that includes an expanded project scope that came up when we discovered large issues with a neighboring property.Fairmont was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. They were always willing to listen to our ideas and make changes as needed. They were also very responsive to my questions and concerns.Fairmont’s foreman or a partner subcontractor was on-site on average more than five days a week for the entire many-month project. This allowed them to keep a close eye on the work and make sure that everything was done to the highest standards, and if not the first time, they made sure it was redone. Unlike several neighboring projects, we had no stop work orders, no neighbor complaints (complements actually), and all our inspections were successful.I would highly recommend Fairmont to anyone looking for a home builder or doing a major urban renovation.
