We visited them this morning for my Roobi dog's annual check up and everything was calm and smooth as it always is. I love how they treat my pittie mix in every way. She is very anxious and is wildly more comfortable here than our previous vet experience, I almost don't even recognize her compared. I still hear her grumbling and mumbling when they take her to the back for tests, but she SCREAMS at other vets. Bone chilling stuff, but not at Spring Glen. They just have a way with space as much as touch. Our last vet was full of echos and metal, there was never enough traznadone, but this one is wooden and still and kind and slower, I wonder if she actually needs trazn (probably tbh so I just give it as usual). For example, while in a med exam room, I cannot hear the other rooms.. Im sure the animals can, but not in an overwhelming way that echos and shakes them.
Additionally, Ive recently found a stray kitty on my day to day that loves being living with Roobi and I. Kayla kindly talked me through what it looks like if a cat is in a heat, how to know if she is in trouble, tried to help me guess her age, and was very transparent about the price of keeping her in my household under their care!! She put my mind at ease to all of the random feedback I had been receiving. I have had Hobbit for about 6 months, without any response to lost pet ads, and was feeling worried about what to prioritize.
Getting this information about my found kitten Hobbit following a great check up with Roobi... after (shout out) DR MAGS AND HIS TEAM ❤️❤️❤️ pristinely removed my dog's MCT tumor slightly over a year ago (a tear currently is rolling down my right cheek)!!!!! ..was truly a wonderful morning!! I was even a little nervous to go, in the event there were more lumpis dumpis!!! ? None to be seen, and everything checked out. We are still watching as we do, but what a fantastic day at Spring Glen Vet!!
Thank you Spring Glenn Vet ❤️❤️❤️“

I had an appointment and had a very short wait until I was called in and greeted by the amazing technician Jess. She told me in detail what to expect for my visit. Allowed time to allow my cat to warm up to her before going to get Dr. Carey who is also amazing. They definitely assured me my fur baby was going to be okay. They answered all my questions and I left there with no worries. People are always worried about pricing but they are very reasonable and even included a complimentary nail trimming. I think we have found our forever vet home. Thanks Jess, Dr. Carey and Powder Ridge!!“

They were extremely accommodating and willing to help. Gave me an appt for the next day. I was met with a friendly greeting and within minutes of my arrival, taken back to an exam room. The vet tech was also very friendly and showed genuine concern for my pup. The doctor came in soon after and was fantastic. She gave my pup a thorough exam, was very gentile with him, and overall I was very pleased with the service… I would highly recommend this vet… I’m so happy to have switched and know I won’t ever need to go elsewhere.
Their hours are extremely accommodating with emergency visits as well.“

Gary was my best friend for many years, and making decisions about end of life comfort was one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever had. Dr. Mariano guided me through every step with patience, understanding, and genuine kindness.
she didn’t minimize my concerns or rush conversations. She listened to my worries, to Gary’s symptoms, and to what I felt in my heart. She helped me understand what quality of life truly means, and he supported me in making decisions that were loving, not just medical.
Dr. Mariano helped me feel seen and supported, not just as a pet owner, but as someone grieving a family member as she is a pet owner herself. That kind of compassion is rare and I am sure extremely difficult to have as part of the job.
Thank you, Dr. Mariano, for caring.“

I was treated like the human being (and customer!) I am and Spike was treated like the feline being he is. Changing vets was a necessity and I am so happy I chose Pet Shield. I need a LOT more than five stars Google!“

No one got to the bottom of her issues until we met Dr. Huysman. At GAMC. Within two weeks we had a completely healthy happy pup. We are so very happy and relieved to have found this great group.“

But the reason I'm writing a review is how they treated us and our beloved dog when it was time to put him down recently (obviously a very painful decision). The staff and clinicians helped make it the best possible experience in the worst of circumstances. We so appreciate their kindness, gentleness, and professionalism.“

201 E Main St, Branford“Dr Malek AND staff were excellent in the care of my boy Tony. Unfortunately due to old age and being sick he passed away and they were very compassionate sending me a card with everyone’s name on it. Tony was very difficult when going to the vet. Dr Malek was literally the only vet who would work with Tony. All others refused us without even trying hard enough. Tony got his care from Dr Malek and staff everytime without them complaining or calling animal control on us like another place. THANK YOU Dr Malek and Gina and staff for everything I highly recommend“

Taking your fur babies to the vet is stressful enough, but they go above and beyond to ensure they provide the best care. My cat had constipation issues and they were hands on to show me the X-rays and provided a step-by-step plan to solve the problem. They listen, they care, and they help. They all knew my Aunt and would ask how she is doing and that was a BIG reason why I decided to make them my primary vet. Thank you to the staff for being the BEST experience I’ve ever had while taking my cat to the vet.“

71 N Turnpike Rd, Wallingford“Dr Nick is just the best! I first went to him 35 years ago when I had a dog and now I have a cat, my cat is 6 and Dr. Nick remembered my dog 25 years later! He is old school, meaning he is all about the animals, not making money. Recently my cat got sick and I was petrified, I was so worried about her, Dr. Nick saw her immediately, gave her emergency care that she needed. I was ready to order every blood test available from Lyme Disease to Bird Flu to ultrasounds, to daily IV therapy! Dr. Nick explained to me that she needed basic blood work first, she didn't need an ultrasound, a daily fluid therapy was not necessary, he saved me thousands of dollars because the cat was fine after two visits, antibiotics, and two fluid therapies. He called every other day to check on her, he spent 30 minutes on the phone asking detailed questions so I didn't have to take her back for another visit, never charged me. My mother's doctor charges for every EMAIL response, let alone a phone call! I can't say enough wonderful things about this vet, he cares about the animals above all, has a WONDERFUL bedside manner with both the pets and their parents.“
