I had once been active, but over the years injuries left me less fit, less motivated, and mostly limited to walking. As my motivation faded, staying consistent with exercise became increasingly difficult. I had tried strength training before, but poor form often led to more injuries. I wanted to get active again and knew functional strength training would benefit my osteoporosis and overall health.
By the end of the trial, I knew the investment was worth it and began attending semi-private sessions with Joyce twice a week. That was six months ago, and the results have been life-changing. Not only am I stronger, but my motivation has returned as I’ve started feeling better and seeing progress.
What I appreciate most is Joyce’s individualized approach. She designs workouts around my goals, abilities, and limitations, and even in a semi-private setting, I receive personalized attention. She closely monitors my form, makes corrections, and adjusts exercises as needed. As a 55-year-old woman with a history of back and neck issues, that guidance has been invaluable and has given me the confidence to train safely.
Before working with Joyce, I lived with back and neck pain and believed my running and cycling days were over. Today, that pain is gone, and I’ve started enjoying both activities again.
I love how much better I feel physically and how much stronger my body has become. Muscles that once felt soft are now firm and toned. An unexpected bonus has been receiving compliments from friends and even strangers.
