“I want to share my experience as a Deaf POC, since many of the reviews I saw before coming here felt very critical of the staff. Personally, I had a good experience. Some reviews seemed more like “policing” the employees’ actions or attitudes, but from what I’ve seen, many of the problems actually come from pet owners. For example, I’ve witnessed owners dragging their dogs by the leash — that’s not on the employees.

When I brought in my 3–4 month old kitten for an exam, the staff treated me well. The vet I saw (a male doctor) was kind and respectful. The price was on the higher side, but honestly reasonable compared to other vet clinics.

I was initially worried because of the reviews, but I decided to call ahead and let them know I’m Deaf. They worked with me on communication, and that made a big difference. This clinic is close to my home, and I hope to build a good relationship with them over time. If not, I know I can always find another vet — but for now, I feel good about choosing this place.“

“Brought my girl Nora to Wolfgangs for training as she was the only dog I was not able to train myself. she was aggressive towards anything that moved during our walks. The crew at Wolfgangs helped turn her into a dog I am proud to walk now. Protection training also helped as I know she has my back now. I miss training with them, and I know Nora does too.“

“I bring my dog Rocky to Briana at The Leash You Can Do Dog Sitting and Boarding Care three to four times a week, and she has been nothing short of amazing. She’s extremely attentive, always sends me updates, pictures, and videos, and makes sure I know how Rocky is doing throughout the day.

There are times when Rocky needs to stay overnight because of my work schedule or travel, and I never have to worry—Briana treats him like one of her own. The level of care, love, and consistency she provides is hard to find.

“we started training at zoom room long beach with our puppy benny, and it's been such a great experience. nick is an amazing trainer (all of the trainers are, really) who clearly knows what he's doing and genuinely cares about every dog he works with. from day one, he made us feel comfortable and confident in the process. benny has come a long way already. we're seeing noticeable improvements in his behavior, and it's been so rewarding to watch him progress. if you're looking for a place where you and your dog will actually enjoy training, this is it. can't recommend nick and the zoom room team enough.“

“I was looking for a place I could leave Libby when I have a long day at work and found this daycare. We did a trial to see if she was compatible with the other dogs and everything worked out great. Libby loved it so much I decided to take her once a week to socialise with the other dogs. I have peace of mine knowing I have somewhere safe to leave Libby .“

“Fabiola was sooo helpful and kind to my highly anxious kitty. She worked with us for 30 minutes to get her nails clipped and feed her medication and never got annoyed. She's great! The whole staff are very accommodating. Love coming here.“

“I highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who wants to take their dog training journey to the next level. I was first introduced to SMS by a friend and after seeing how well trained his dog was, I knew I had to take my dog to be trained with SMS as well. We were able to train our Goldendoodle, Zeus, and were surprised at how well we got him trained with the help of Lisa and SMS.

Fast forward a few years, I adopted an American Pitbull Terrier, Naia. Naia is a rescue dog who we assume had a rough history prior to adopting her but also after we adopted her, she had an altercation with one of my parent's dogs at home. Immediately, I knew I had to take her to SMS. Lisa and all her staff have been wonderful with Naia since day 1. We are about a month in to her training with SMS and it has been a complete transformation with Naia.

One thing I will say is do not get discouraged by the price, as the training and everything you get out of it is 100% worth the price!

Also, as with any dog training, be aware that you get what you put in to it. You will need to put in the work day in and day out with your dog to be able to achieve success in your training journey. But the good thing with SMS is that you will have Lisa and her staff there to help you along the way with every step you take!“
