Pet Boarding Training near Signal Hill

“I want to share my experience as a Deaf POC, since many of the reviews I saw before coming here felt very critical of the staff. Personally, I had a good experience. Some reviews seemed more like “policing” the employees’ actions or attitudes, but from what I’ve seen, many of the problems actually come from pet owners. For example, I’ve witnessed owners dragging their dogs by the leash — that’s not on the employees.

When I brought in my 3–4 month old kitten for an exam, the staff treated me well. The vet I saw (a male doctor) was kind and respectful. The price was on the higher side, but honestly reasonable compared to other vet clinics.

I was initially worried because of the reviews, but I decided to call ahead and let them know I’m Deaf. They worked with me on communication, and that made a big difference. This clinic is close to my home, and I hope to build a good relationship with them over time. If not, I know I can always find another vet — but for now, I feel good about choosing this place.“

She settles nicely while out dining and stays calm when shopping at Home Depot. Sam has been such a great trainer, she has become a valuable asset for our Ruby’s future during puppy training making the Canine Learning Academy a very special part of my family’s daily routine. “I was looking for a place I could leave Libby when I have a long day at work and found this daycare. We did a trial to see if she was compatible with the other dogs and everything worked out great. Libby loved it so much I decided to take her once a week to socialise with the other dogs. I have peace of mine knowing I have somewhere safe to leave Libby .“

“I have a large, sometimes dog aggressive, Akita. Due to this it is hard to find places for her to stay. All star pet resort has been my go-to kennel. Yes, it is bare bones but don't let that scare you. Each dog has an indoor/outdoor private run and it is a great price. My dog is sooo happy every time we arrive because she loves all the people that work there. Melinda at the front desk knows her by name and we always feel welcomed. “Our 5 month baby Shenzi did a 2 week board and train with Lori and her team and I have to say the level of professionalism was top notch. We received daily photo and video updates on her progress and a clean off-boarding process to train us (as the parents) on how to continue the training at home. John was extremely helpful and clearly educated in dog training. He gave us clear and concise instructions which were very easy for us to implement. Thank you again John.

As for Shenzi’s progress, there is a VERY noticeable difference. She now understands basic commands - which are vital to break some of her difficult habits, such as barking at people/dog passerby’s. And while we haven’t broken that yet, I’m confident that with tools Pawsitive gave us, she’ll learn in no time.
She is also much better at home, much calmer and easier to handle. She seemed to break the puppy “rambunctiousness” while she was boarded. And bonus points that she seems to be house broken now!

Also more bonus points, they picked up and dropped off Shenzi all the way to us in Santa Monica!

All in all, if you’re looking for a high class, quality and professional trainer, you found your business. We will certainly continue to use them for future training.“

“Our dog just came home to us from a 10 day training in Huntington Beach. He was extremely reactive and out of control around other dogs, and I have to admit I was skeptical that he could be trained. His trainer, Jason, sent us updates and videos 3 times a week, and it was outstanding to see his progress, but I wondered if he would act that way at home. Jason brought him to our house for an hour lesson, and we were amazed at how obedient and attentive Luka was. He even walked right by Jason's dog without reacting. I was nervous that I would t be able to replicate the behavior, but I can only describe it as like magic! Luka is now much more calm and attentive, and can now enjoy being a dog without being anxious all the time. We can take him anywhere now, and he can be off leash running at the park. He comes a soon as I call. It will be a whole new life for him and for our family! Jason did an amazing job and we could t be more grateful!“

“I bring my dog Rocky to Briana at The Leash You Can Do Dog Sitting and Boarding Care three to four times a week, and she has been nothing short of amazing. She’s extremely attentive, always sends me updates, pictures, and videos, and makes sure I know how Rocky is doing throughout the day.

There are times when Rocky needs to stay overnight because of my work schedule or travel, and I never have to worry—Briana treats him like one of her own. The level of care, love, and consistency she provides is hard to find.

“I have known Alex for several years. He helped me with my last dog. I was just exasperated with Ben. He chewed up my furniture twice and was just a wild child! After taking Ben home to work with him he came back a changed dog. Most recently, Alex took my little Frenchie pup into his Board and Train program. He has a way of working with dogs using positive reinforcement and love. He also gives the owner the tools they need to continue the training at home. “PetSmart has become my go to grooming location for my Coco which is why I recommended my roommate to take her fur baby to them. The staff is always super friendly and nice to my dog which is awesome because he does get a little nervous every time he goes for his pamper time. I love how they leave his little face looking all the time and I can tell they are very gentle with him. Today we took Bella for her first puppy trimming and they left her super fluffy and smelling amazing! Thank you Nataly for making our fur babies look so cute.
