1940 Cotner Ave, Los Angeles“Danny at Rose Coast Music School has been such a gift as a guitar teacher for our 7-year-old son. He is incredibly warm, patient, and engaging, and somehow manages to make every lesson feel both fun and meaningful. Our son genuinely looks forward to his time with Danny each week, which says everything.
We have also seen real progress in our son’s playing, which has been so rewarding and is a true testament to Danny’s approach. Danny really sees kids for who they are. He meets our son exactly where he is, keeps things light and encouraging, and builds confidence in such a natural way. You can truly tell how attentive and thoughtful Danny is.
We were first introduced to Danny through a very talented young teen who had studied with him for years and his whole family spoke about Danny with such genuine enthusiasm. That strong recommendation immediately stood out to us, and our experience has far exceeded our expectations. I truly could not recommend him more highly and we feel so lucky to have found Danny.“

Being able to practice and learn songs that I actually enjoy was highly rewarding. If you're looking for a great teacher, definitely go with Jesse.“

2242 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles“I have visited Robert Cauer twice now, and I am obsessed. I am a new violinist, and was looking for a place to purchase my first violin. I was intimidated by the idea of purchasing a violin, especially having no knowledge of how to purchase a violin. Going to Roberts store was the best experience possible. They were so kind and patient in guiding me through the process. At my appointment, Samantha (I believe that was her name, she said she played the cello) was so helpful and answered all my questions. The appointment lasted over an hour, ultimately there were two violins I liked, and they let me take both home to test them out. This is an amazing thing they do, to allow their customers to go home and get comfortable with their instruments. After a couple days of testing both violins, I knew which one I wanted. However, I was ready to fully commit, but their store has amazing renting to buy options! They also have the best trade in value. They have very competitive rates over all. Oh! And Jonathan is also amazing. During my second visit I had so many questions regarding shoulder rests, rosin, violin cases, and Jonathan let's me try all all their shoulder rest so I could find the one I felt the most comfortable with. This type of in store experience and quality is hard to come around these days. I'm so happy to have found this place ! Can't recommend enough.“

18375 Ventura Blvd #8000, Tarzana“Taking piano lessons as an adult at the Richman School of Music has been absolutely life-changing. Howard Richman has an extraordinary way of teaching that draws from psychology, making even complex techniques feel approachable and easy to grasp. His emphasis on the learning process itself means that each lesson is adapted to how I personally process and retain information, which has had a remarkable impact on my cognitive abilities and neural connections.
What truly sets Howard apart is his wealth of knowledge and his unique musical lineage, which goes all the way back to Beethoven. His understanding of different piano traditions, like the German and Russian schools, has given me a new appreciation for the art, highlighting cultural and technical distinctions I’d never known. Beyond piano skills, Howard is helping me dive into the world of composition and songwriting, opening doors I never thought possible.
If you're an adult wanting to learn piano or looking to rekindle your passion, Howard’s teaching is invaluable. This journey is about so much more than just learning an instrument—it’s about connecting with music on a deeper level and becoming part of a timeless tradition.“

“I am posting this review without having been asked to, under only the inspiration of the rush I just got from the magic of Shoshana’s concepts clicking for me… I have only been training with her for ONE MONTH, and I’m already singing songs I could never sing before with ease. I’m reaching my high voices without straining my throat, I’m mixing between voices more effortlessly, I get a “natural vibrato” every now and then. It’s amazing. I can even do it while I have a flu and a sore throat… I regularly sing karaoke and people have definitely noticed the improvement!
Keep in mind, these are songs I simply couldn’t sing before, notes that I thought weren’t even there…
Her secret is that she doesn’t TELL you what to do, she CONNECTS what she knows from her world into yours. You can only do this if you truly understand what you’re teaching and if you have lots of experience teaching different kinds of people from a diverse population like LA.
All this has allowed me to focus on the right things, make them muscle memory, and enter a state of performance flow, one of, if not the greatest feelings in the world to me.
Thank you Shoshana, with all my heart ??“

“I highly recommend studying with Ted. Ted's musicianship is unparalleled (check out his Ellington CD!), and his teaching matches that. He takes things that are very complicated and turns them into something much more digestible. It's so worth it; I've improved so much. Thank you Ted!“
