“Dr. Rosa Lee has been the best piano teacher we could have hoped for for our child. He has studied with her for the past three years, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found her.
When we began searching for a piano teacher, we wanted someone with a strong technical foundation who would hold our child to high standards while teaching with kindness, patience, and encouragement. Dr. Lee has exceeded those expectations in every way.
She has built a wonderful rapport with our child, striking the perfect balance between warmth and high expectations. She encourages and supports him while also knowing when to challenge him to reach the next level. Even during weeks when his practice has fallen short, she recognizes his progress, celebrates small successes, and offers practical strategies to help him practice more effectively when life gets busy. Rather than discouraging him, she consistently keeps him motivated and helps him enjoy the learning process. During competition season, we have been especially grateful for the way she genuinely cares about our child and goes above and beyond to support him.
Dr. Lee also sees parents as partners in a child's musical education. Especially during the first year, she worked closely with our family to understand our child's learning style and tailor her teaching accordingly. While guiding our child’s musical journey with her exceptional expertise, she also listens carefully to both our child's goals and ours, maintaining open and warm communication and thoughtfully adapting her approach when appropriate.
Whether lessons have been online or in person, Dr. Lee creates an engaging, positive, and productive learning environment. Beyond helping our child develop the technical skills and musicality that have earned him multiple prizes in piano competitions, she has nurtured his confidence, independence, and genuine love of music.
