“Their location has changed to 5 E Figueroa! I have been to Michael for a haircut 3 times now. I have long hair, which I usually go to just get trimmed about once a year. A few weeks ago, I went to see Michael again and wanted to change my hair up with some face-framing layers. Michael did an awesome job with what I wanted and what worked with my hair. He is always open to talking about a multitude of topics, or not talking at all! I always leave Salon U feeling refreshed and 100% happy with my haircut.”

“To be clear - the nail service (lavender hour) from Esme is 5 stars. Hand massage was a little light but relaxing, she covers you in all the warm items and the polish is done very well (see photo). She also doesn't talk the entire time which was amazing because it lets you disengage and relax. Highly recommend her.The area where they lose a star (honestly should be two) is the experience outside the room. If you make an appointment at 10am when they open you will be standing outside with other people waiting for them to open. We had to knock on the window to get them to unlock the door.Then with only maybe five minutes left on the service, the receptionist knocked very loudly on the door, in essence waking me up from my relaxation state. She then knocked a minute later and fully opened the door and came in asking when it would be done. It killed the entire relaxation vibe. It was fully unnecessary.When I got back to the front to check out there was an older women who was loudly complaining that her appointment was starting late (not my problem) because of a booking error (also not my problem) and she and the receptionist aired this all out in front of me while I was waiting to pay. She was upset her service was impacted, understandably, but why the receptionist chose to ruin the end of my service on this woman's behalf seemed idiotic. These services aren't cheap, but the behavior certainly was.Long story short, Esme is great, but don't book the first service of the morning, even if it's all they have left.”

“I love SB Salon! Brianna is the owner and has done an amazing job with the place. It’s so cute, and has so much character. There’s an adorable little porch outside to wait if you arrive early, and the staff is so sweet. I’m always greeted with a smile and offered a glass of water, coffee (the best!), or even champagne. I had a glass on my birthday and felt so pampered! The chairs to wash your hair are the best I’ve sat in. She has a special pillow and foot rest that are a game changer. So comfortable, and relaxing. And my hair!! ? I love it every time! Brianna just does her thing and knows exactly what I mean when I tell her what I’m looking for. She’s so talented and my hair always looks amazing! “omg where do I even begin! I had such an amazing experience at Keota's hair salon and would 100% recommend her services to anyone and everyone! Keota is such a sweetheart and so much fun to be around. The minute I walked in for my appointment I immediately felt cared for and relieved knowing that I was in good hands. On a whim, I made the mistake of box dying my hair on my own, and when that went horribly wrong, I sought the expertise of a professional to try and fix what I had done to my hair. Not only was Keota incredibly knowledgeable about hair and how dye works, she was also very honest about what the most realistic approach to correcting my hair would be to achieve the look that I wanted without causing too much damage to it. Most professionals would not be this honest and caring for the client's hair health, instead they would most likely sit their client down and proceed with doing whatever they had asked for, without giving a second thought to how much damage they would be inflicting, and how costly the procedure would end up being. It is clear that unlike most salon professionals, Keota is not in it for the money, and instead truly cares about her clients and only wants the best for them. This undoubtedly shows in her services, as I left the salon with healthy, beautiful hair that exceeded my expectations! I mean Keota is truly a miracle worker! I was able to achieve the color that I had wanted, as well as preserve the health of my hair. On top of that, I felt like I had made a new friend. Keota and I talked and laughed the whole time that I was there, which completely boosted my mood and set me up for a good day! Not to mention the confidence that I had gained from Keota hyping me up, and delivering on making my hair look absolutely stunning! Overall, I can not express enough how amazing Keota is not only as a hairstylist, but as a person and friend. “Absolutely in love with this place. I've seen all three of the wonderful ladies and all of them are incredible. Not only do they provide the most life changing facials but they know SO much about skin, products, etc. that I always leave feeling educated on how to take better care of my skin. Ari incorporates lymphatic massage into her facials and I don't think I'll be able to go back to getting normal facials. She not only is talented with skincare but also with bodywork - what a treat! “I had an amazing haircut done this morning by Jaclyn at Phenix Salon Suites Santa Barbara. She washed my hair with shampoo for a starter and then she started trimming the side and the center in such an artistic way. If I am not wrong Jaclyn is an artist and working as a heir dresser on the side. The room were she conducted the haircut was so neat and smiled so fresh.
