“We had several roofing companies come out and bid our project. Excelsior was on the higher end of the bids and they were very busy and couldn't start immediately. But there was something about their professionalism that struck us. They listened to, and addressed all of our requests, laid out the details of the project and replied in a timely manner. “I Reached out to Redwood roofing for a quote to replace my homes roof. The project manager Ellison got back to me pretty quickly and set up a time to check out the project and give us a quote. I had gotten 5 or 6 other quotes prior to meeting with Ellison, so I had a pretty good idea of ballpark price for this job. To my complete surprise, Ellison’s quote was a good 20-25% cheaper than all of the others. I was a bit hesitant with the low quote wondering about the quality of their work. After reading all their reviews I contacted Ellison and set up a date for installation. Leading up to and throughout the entire process Ellison was very responsive to text’s and emails. His workers arrived on time, did a fantastic job on our roof, cleaned up each day after the work was done. The entire project was finished within the promised timeframe and there was a small cost overrun, but the quoted price was what we we’re charged…nothing additional. Having been a construction worker for over 20+ years and a general B contractor, Best Roofing Construction Co., which is based in Oakland ca. with representative Ella Pak., was by far the best value. Best Roofing Construction co, and the representative Ella Pak installed the roof and gutters that is and looks fabulous we could not ask for any better construction, very experienced installers made a gorgeous house possible. We choose Best Roofing Construction Co. due to of the top three companies (which happened that all three where within a thousand dollars of each other) Elle Pak’s proposal used heavier plywood, better roofing options and was willing to help us find and install exactly the gutters to match existing style of structure, new shingles, and the existing gutters with down spouts. Ella Pak arranged for early delivery of Gutters/downspouts so we could prepare for the construction as well. Not one other roofing company even was close to offering acceptable much less cost effective solutions. Ella and her crew which were a pleasure to work with and all where exceptionally, polite, respectful of property, courteous to all, and punctual every day. Ella Pak as the crew always asked questions, gave advice, had insight on optional solutions, and notified us if any issue presenting a problem, or potential problem in a very timely manner. “Jae is the go-to-roofer in the Bay Area if you have any roofing concerns. I had 4 bids on the contractor, of which one was from my contractor. Let me just say that Jae takes pride in his work and product. He spent a good amount of time on my roof and came down and explain in detail what needs to be done and why. He puts 3 layers, as oppose to 2 layers to make sure the roof will last for a long time. I don't know roof terms, but I do know when a contractor spends time to explain why each piece is important, they definitely want to do a good job. There not many contractor like Jae anymore. Upon completion, Jae asked us if we want to go up to the roof to check out the work and if we had any questions. “S'top Roofing company came in and replaced the old shingle roof on my craftsman home. They were timely, respectful (especially of the neighbors), cleaned up well, and did a solid job. They found areas that were rotted and needed additional fixing and as I was there, was able to confirm that indeed it was the case. They didn't go overboard, and their prices were extremely reasonable. They were experts in their craft as they angled some areas on the roof so that the water would drain towards the downspouts vs staying in the middle. The owner (as well as his office) was super responsive and went the extra mile as he sent his HVAC folks to check on the house furnace that was thought to have been damaged by roof debris. It wasn't and they got the unit running in no time without any charge. I would highly recommend this company as they stay true to their word and do a fantastic job within the estimated time.“
