committed to insuring we got what we wanted and was very much on top of things on a nearly daily basis. Perhaps the most valuable aspect of the services we got from Green Bay was Noy taking me shopping to different stores to buy what we needed for the job. He made sure I bought things that would work for us, look good, and were of good quality that would last. He was never overbearing with his suggestions and always open to my wishes and taste, but it was a great comfort to me to know that he wasn't going to let me make mistakes or decisions I may regret later. All permits were handled with great efficiency.

His construction crew, led by Francisco Corona, was very friendly, polite, tidy, hard-working and highly skilled in their work. They showed up every day right on time. Any small problems were dealt with quickly and creatively, and their only concern was that my husband and I were happy.

We did the first two bathrooms together and the third bathroom a couple of weeks later. In both cases they finished before their original estimated completion date.

Of the three estimates we got for the remodels, Green Bay Remodeling was the middle range estimate. Bathroom remodeling is expensive, but our new bathrooms turned out even better than we'd expected.

I can honestly say that this was a trouble-free, anxiety-free experience. From day one to completion, I always knew Noy and Francisco were going to take care of us, and they did. I'm so grateful to them and to Green Bay for running a tight and honorable ship.“

“An HVAC tech checked out my house and found ducts wrapped in asbestos. The ducts were damaged and exposed and the tech told me I had to remove them before work can be done. (Asbestos is banned and causes lung cancer) Reached out to Andrew contractors and Frank had the most rates. His crew was professional and helpful. Best thing I like about Frank is that he reached out and offer me home improvement advice even at no gain to himself. Through him I found a good HVAC contractor who was very responsive and and did a great job working on my home. I highly recommend going with Frank as he seems to pride himself in taking care of his customers.“

I called Hearth and Home and Scott helped me determine the most likely cause over the phone...the receiver, which needs to be replaced every 7 years on average. I came into the store and he showed me how to remove it and change it out with a new one myself, saving me an expensive service visit. I successfully changed it out and it's working perfectly again. This store sells a great product with wonderful customer service!“

He suggested things we never would’ve thought of, like a built-in breakfast nook under the bay window and a hidden pull-out spice rack next to the stove. “As a person entering my 70th year I have had many homes and undergone numerous renovations. All were tolerable but full of the typical frustrations most have encountered. Until I met Eden Roc/Dan Nowell and his crew. I cannot imagine renovations being done more hassle free, and with such attention to detail. Dan has built a guest house and, later, a wine cellar for me. The first was a very substantial project. He helped find the right architect and always had sound advice for dealing with the various permitting issues. Invariably, he had excellent suggestions to make to the architect and later the decorator. They mentioned numerous times what a delight he was to deal with for them. In the same timeframe, I was heavily involved in renovation that my daughter was doing in Marin. The work was fine. It was not, however, the same flawless project experience from start to finish that I have had with Eden Roc.The construction process was perfect, even down to the (trivial?) detail of how clean the premises were left each day (we lived there during construction). Recently I moved to Yountville and had a very substantial landscaping project done. This was not a project appropriate for Eden Roc but Dan took the time to look at the landscape architect’s plans and made several absolutely key suggestions that everyone else had missed. His communication skills, his ability to work with others are simply unmatched. I cannot recommend Dan and his crew highly enough.“

“Brian and his team have now completed two different projects for us - a rebuild of our outdoor roof decks and a living area renovation project that included building custom floating stairs with glass. Brian and his team truly helped bring our design ideas into reality - we provided inspiration photos and they made it happen. They are also great at problem solving and helped us figure out to build our rooftop decks with adequate drainage that protected the integrity of our roofs and home. Brian's team is incredibly professional, creative, punctual, and tidy, leaving our home cleaned up and livable each day after they went home. “We put out bids for a ~$300k back yard project involving excavation, new poured concrete retaining walls, poured concrete stairs, a 650 sq deck and more. We knew that Rempe was likely to come back with the most expensive bid, and indeed they did. We took that bid because we had confidence that they had actually put some real effort and thought into the bid and that this would be the cost for the project, without overages unless we expanded the scope (which we did). It was broken down into fairly atomic pieces with costs attached to each one, showing us that they weren't just throwing a number out and weren't going to come back to us later saying, "Oh, this wasn't in the scope, the cost is going to go up." That's in distinct contrast to the other bids we got, which didn't give us nearly the same level of confidence that they'd thought our project through completely. We're EXTREMELY glad we went with Rempe. Working with them has been a simply fantastic process, from bid through to project completion. The answer to any request has always been "yes" (though of course some requests come with a price tag) and not only are they very detail-oriented but also concerned with trying to work around your life so they're only in the way as much as they need to be. As an example of their concern for detail: We had a couple very large outdoor umbrella bases sunk into the ground with 2'x2'x2' of concrete poured around them. I hate crooked lines, and when we put the umbrellas in after, I could see that one of the umbrellas was a little off. Measuring it, it was off by 0.9 degrees. Our foreman on the project (Dave Rempe, the owner/founder's brother), who is a construction superhero, immediately agreed that wasn't acceptable, jackhammered the base out, re-leveled it, and then repoured the concrete. Not only that, but he decided the OTHER one, which I hadn't even mentioned, was slightly off as well and redid that one without us even asking. I would absolutely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a project done very well for the price on the bid.“
