“This company is fantastic. From the initial inspection, to the communication with the office, and finally to the execution of the work, the experience was nothing short of perfect. BAMC installed a trenched sump system, followed by a CleanSpace encapsulation of my roughly 1800 square foot dirt crawlspace. I just spent 45 minutes crawling on my stomach and squeezing between ducting and floor joists to inspect their work, and I am super pleased with what they did.These days it is hard to have expectations surpassed, but that is exactly what BAMC did for me. “We put out bids for a ~$300k back yard project involving excavation, new poured concrete retaining walls, poured concrete stairs, a 650 sq deck and more. We knew that Rempe was likely to come back with the most expensive bid, and indeed they did. We took that bid because we had confidence that they had actually put some real effort and thought into the bid and that this would be the cost for the project, without overages unless we expanded the scope (which we did). It was broken down into fairly atomic pieces with costs attached to each one, showing us that they weren't just throwing a number out and weren't going to come back to us later saying, "Oh, this wasn't in the scope, the cost is going to go up." That's in distinct contrast to the other bids we got, which didn't give us nearly the same level of confidence that they'd thought our project through completely. We're EXTREMELY glad we went with Rempe. Working with them has been a simply fantastic process, from bid through to project completion. The answer to any request has always been "yes" (though of course some requests come with a price tag) and not only are they very detail-oriented but also concerned with trying to work around your life so they're only in the way as much as they need to be. As an example of their concern for detail: We had a couple very large outdoor umbrella bases sunk into the ground with 2'x2'x2' of concrete poured around them. I hate crooked lines, and when we put the umbrellas in after, I could see that one of the umbrellas was a little off. Measuring it, it was off by 0.9 degrees. Our foreman on the project (Dave Rempe, the owner/founder's brother), who is a construction superhero, immediately agreed that wasn't acceptable, jackhammered the base out, re-leveled it, and then repoured the concrete. Not only that, but he decided the OTHER one, which I hadn't even mentioned, was slightly off as well and redid that one without us even asking. I would absolutely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a project done very well for the price on the bid.“

“Another job well done!Our first opportunity to engage Nicholson Builders was on the installation of our whole home generator. The project required a wide range of skills including masonry, plumbing, complex electrical, and drywall work and dealing with the city's Planning Department for approvals and inspections. All aspects of the project were done promptly and with great craftsmanship and quality. The areas the work occurred in were left spotless. (And we're admittedly picky about that).Based on that project we asked them to remodel our kitchen. Again, the Nicholson team's work was terrific. They ensured that everything was perfectly installed; no detail was too small. Bob found ways to source products that helped us save on the expenses. Based on their work we've asked them to do the remodeling work in our bathrooms.We have done small and very large, yearlong, remodeling projects on multiple homes. Nicholson Builders is the best general contractor we've found. One final note: My wife and I joke about the answer we get from most builders when we ask them when the project work will be completed. Until we started working with Nicholson Builders the answer has always been "We'll be done in two weeks", regardless of the project and their progress. Of course, they're never done in two weeks. Bob gave us an estimate for the project timeline and beat it by ensuring everything needed for the project was in place prior to starting their work and sticking with the work once they started.We wholeheartedly recommend Nicholson Builders for their excellent work.“
