When the crew opened things up, we found some dry rot in the framing underneath the old siding, which explained a lot of the issues I’d been dealing with. It wasn’t something anyone wants to discover during a project, but they were straightforward about it and didn’t try to overcharge. Even with the dry rot repair, the project didn’t get delayed.
