“After being a cheapskate with regard to haircuts for our kids - previously just Supercuts-grade cuts, and then a few years of pandemic-induced DIY cuts at home - we decided that it was high time that we started investing just a little more in their appearance. Don't get me wrong, my wife did an admirable job during the lockdown, honing her skills and producing fine looking coifs. However, my son's thick hair always posed a bit of a challenge, and with some important upcoming events we felt that it was time to return to the professionals. We received a recommendation from a close friend for either Edward or Helen, so we called for an appointment. We were able to get a same-day booking. Edward was just finishing up with a client as we arrived. He asked my son about his preferences and took a close look at his head, noting some of the more challenging areas. After washing and conditioning his hair, he got down to business. Usually I don't pay much attention to the haircutting process, but on that day I observed more closely than usual. It was clear that Edward was thinking hard about what would work best for him and how to solve the problem of his cowlick and the spikiness of his hair in the back. He worked methodically to give it style and shape, and in the end gave him an excellent haircut. He did mention afterwards that his hair was fairly challenging. The price of the haircut before tip was a surprisingly reasonable $35 - pre-pandemic I think we were paying a little over $20 at Supercuts. Good value and great quality - will definitely be back.“
