“I came to see Dr. Blanchard back in late February for really bad burning neck pain and head. I was crying and did not know what to do. I've never had that kind of pain before, ever! “Tracy is fantastic, for so many reasons! I came to Island Acupuncture for fertility support, once we decided to expand our family with baby #2. I had never gotten acupuncture before, and I'm so grateful to have found Tracy. It took us 7 months to conceive our first child (within average but still grueling!), so at the young age of 36 I wanted to do all I could to improve our chances with baby #2. So to Island Acupuncture I went!Long story short - We got pregnant on our very first try! I started weekly sessions with Tracy about 3 months before we planned to start trying, to prepare my body for a healthy conception and pregnancy. We weren't expecting it to happen right away, but we conceived on our first attempt after 3 months of treatment! I'm now 24 weeks along and have since moved away from Alameda, but I definitely would have continued with Tracy through the pregnancy if I could.In addition to acupuncture, I got so much more than I expected out of the experience. Tracy demonstrates such kindness and empathy in her treatment, seeking to understand not only your physical needs/concerns but also the emotional side. She takes time to help you understand what she's doing and why, and went above and beyond to advise on my holistic fertility journey - not just the acupuncture and herbal supplements she provided. She recommended a free fertility app to track temperature, ovulation, and menstrual symptoms, and took time before each session to review that week's chart and help me better understand my own reproductive system. I also appreciate that she never claimed her tools were the definitive answer to fertility - she was honest and research-driven in her approach, often explaining that these were simply drops in a larger bucket, contributing to a healthier reproductive cycle. She's a kind and brilliant practitioner and I cannot recommend her more!“

“Blue Sky Acupuncture is a gem of a place. Very clean and cozy, with a great atmosphere and décor. But, the best part is the quality of the service. I have a stiff neck and tight lower back. I also have ulnar nerve neuropathy. So, I recently started getting acupuncture to help with the tight muscles. I get a treatment every week, and I often combine it with cupping or gua sha, which is scraping with a copper tool to increase blood flow and break up adhesions. No matter what treatment I get, I always feel great afterwards. Victoria is so good at what she does. Not only that, but she is warm, kind, and dedicated to making her patients feel better. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure you get the absolute treatment possible. I feel very lucky and thankful I discovered this gem of a place!!“

“I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time but, with a new baby time got away from me. I went through fertility testing and they recommended IUI then IVF. But I wanted to try something else before going that route. I had never tried acupuncture before in my life.I spent 2.5 months with Dr. Kao after trying to conceive for over a year and was able to conceive on our first full cycle with herbs and acupuncture. I remember the time I received acupuncture from right before I conceived and the needles were humming/vibrating and one even snapped while it was in me! That’s when I felt something had changed…I became pregnant on or around my 36th birthday (3-5 days after “that” session) and we welcomed our son in December. My winter solstice baby. He is a very calm, curious, and happy baby. He has brought overwhelming joy to myself and my family, and I wanted to thank Dr. Kao for helping me to relax and believe that I could conceive. I was referred by someone who conceived with Heidi in two cycles, and they were referred by another couple who conceived in two cycles as well. I recommend acupuncture to everyone I know who is struggling.Thanks for your contribution to our family, and I plan to come back if we decide to have another.“

“I wanted to take the time to write an honest review on behalf of my mom. I have been taking my mom (age 82) to see Dr. Jax Chou for a couple of months for pain/weakness in her leg/hip. She had been having trouble walking and couldn't even take a step up the sidewalk on her own. Dr. Chou was very personable and patiently listened and accessed her health situation and put my mom at ease. He explained clearly the treatment plan and helped her feel relaxed and calm with skilled acupuncture and cupping treatments. Her symptoms improved with each visit and she eventually regained her strength in her leg and was able to even walk up the flight of stairs in her own home. Dr. Chou is a very knowledgeable and experienced acupuncturist and I am so thankful he took good care of my mom.“

“Rose is a gift. I have been working with her for over a year prior to getting pregnant with my third child in preparation to heal my body from prior birth trauma. After over a year of trying western medicine and seeing a pelvic floor specialist, I remembered how well acupuncture had been for me in the past for pain management. Since then she has not only helped me heal from such birth trauma and nerve pain, but has had an incredible impact on my mental health. She has the warmest bedside manner and heart; many times I felt like I was having therapy and acupuncture all at the same time! After delivering my third babymost recently, Rose come to my house on her lunch break to give me a much needed mother roasting & acupuncture session, which felt so great on my incision site. She also left me with a third eye point needle in my forehead (my favorite point for calming) which was definitely topic of conversation with my kids that day :) Rose has miraculous mending powers and the most gentle, empathetic soul, making her one of the best doctors we have in this world and I couldn't recommend her more.“
