I wanted to take the time to write an honest review on behalf of my mom. I have been taking my mom (age 82) to see Dr. Jax Chou for a couple of months for pain/weakness in her leg/hip. She had been having trouble walking and couldn't even take a step up the sidewalk on her own. Dr. Chou was very personable and patiently listened and accessed her health situation and put my mom at ease. He explained clearly the treatment plan and helped her feel relaxed and calm with skilled acupuncture and cupping treatments. It's a quiet office with relaxing music, I found myself falling asleep during the treatment I got from Dr. Chou. It was my first time getting any type of formal Eastern medical treatment so it was extremely informative. He explained to me the parts of my body that were tense and reasonings why, he also checked my pulse and tongue for different deficiencies. The acupuncture I received relieved my shoulder pain and he provided stretches/life style changes I could do to help realign my body and reduce the tension. He followed it up with a massage, leaving my body lighter and relaxed.
