“The upstairs shower in our condo blew an interior wall washer in the middle of the night (Saturday on a holiday weekend, of course) and I ended up having to shut down the water main and water heater in my PJs to keep from destroying the house. First thing Sunday morning I called F&M and spoke w their on-call service who then called Mike. I figured I was going to have to have the tile walls torn into and a major repair nightmare was imminent. F&M technician Santiago called me right back and was at my house within 30 minutes. After a very brief evaluation not only did Santiago assure me the fix was was relatively minor one, he had all the parts needed for the repair on his truck. From the time he came to the door until I was writing a check was 45 minutes, tops. I am extremely happy with the level of professionalism and service this company provided and will recommend them to anyone in the Pasadena SGV area. Oustanding in every way!“

“I contacted Liu Landscape after running into some difficulty with my sideyard and backyard renovation. Crystal quickly scheduled a site visit, and I could tell right away she was very knowledgeable about planning and permitting for my city. This was of utmost importance to me since I had to fire my prior contractor for reneging on promised permits. I requested a 3D design (hardscaping, outdoor kitchen, turf, outdoor tile) and was able to find a lot of inspiration from the company's own website. Crystal delivered the initial design and requested revisions within a couple of days. I really loved the modern design, and we requested a quote for construction as well. Ultimately, I did not pursue construction with Liu Landscape, but this was mostly due to personal budgetary constraints. Her quote was actually very competitive (compared to 5+ other bids). Over several months, Crystal remained willing to correspond with and help me with my project. She even provided a 2D layout upon request. Regarding her communication style, Crystal is quite matter-of-fact over text and e-mails and warm during in-person meetings. It was a very difficult decision to not work with Liu Landscape, because I really loved the design and plan. As mentioned above, I cannot comment specifically on construction, but had positive experiences with communication and design/planning services.“

“I needed a bunch of new wooden windows painted (interior and exterior) and needed someone licensed and bonded, since half the windows were on the 2nd story. I'd had some bad experiences with other companies flaking on estimates or just not getting back to me at all. Luis reached out the same day I sent him a message, and came out the next day for an estimate. He was prompt, friendly, and paid close attention to detail, pointing out things the other 2 guys I'd met with skipped over. He explained the process including prep, what paint to use, and how long it would take. I knew he would do an excellent job and felt very confident going with him. His price was competitive, he worked with my schedule (and around all my pets, which can be challenging), and his team did a fantastic job. His crew was always early, considerate, meticulous about protecting furniture and floors, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Instead of trying to sell me a new roof, he discovered that the leaks were due to other parts of the roof (exposed exterior beams, chimney flashing in disrepair). “We hired Bartona Builders for our kitchen remodel and wow! What a difference. They tore out ALL the old cabinets and put in new ones that look amazing. The countertops are granite and they shine so nice. Matt came by every day to check on things which was really good because some other contractors we talked to said they might not always be there.

The whole job took about four weeks but it was worth the wait. Our friends can't believe it's the same kitchen!! They also fixed some electrical stuff that was old and dangerous.
