Last year, we noticed that only during a heavy downpour (which is quite rare in LA), water would start to come into our master bedroom through one of our pendant lights that flank our bed- it would take some time but about an hour into the rain, sure enough, water would come in from the screw holes, and run down the wire, enough volume that I had to place a bucket on my nightstand. I tried to caulk my roof in places that seemed problematic around my chimney, but this years rains made it apparent that didn't work.
