“OMG….. had a phone visit with my doctor today. Last year, around this time, I got a letter from him saying that my LDL Cholesterol was too high and that I was at borderline diabetic. My weight was 288 and a day didn’t go by when I wasnt dumping a few beers down my throat. In Cancun, I caught a stomach virus that has been kicking my butt! Last week, I was checked for parasites and or bacteria I contracted while on vacation. The results were negative! I ended up calling back concerned because I am still suffering the original symptoms. Last March, another doctor ordered a full CBC and other blood panels. I never went but the order was still in the system. I now weigh in at 246 so from 288 to 246, I have lost a total of 42 pounds in a year. I have changed my eating habits and really don’t drink alcohol that often. I eat healthier foods and in smaller portions. No more fast food except in extreme circumstances. My wife and my kids as well as my parents have been my support group and trust me, there has been times when I who’ve wanted to lash out on them for getting after me if I grab a donut or some chips but it’s only because they love and care for me so much.
