7831 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights“We absolutely love this Taekwondo after-school program and the youth classes! The staff truly goes above and beyond—not only teaching discipline, confidence, and martial arts skills, but also helping the kids grow in so many other ways.
Ms. Teena is amazing—she has been so patient and encouraging with my five-year-old, even helping her learn how to read. Her dedication and kindness shine through every day. Ms. Amy is equally wonderful with the kids—she knows how to keep them engaged, motivated, and having fun while learning valuable life skills.
This is more than just a Taekwondo school—it feels like a supportive community that really cares about the kids and their development. I’m so grateful for the positive impact it has had on my girls.“

7909 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael“We are very grateful to this Taekwondo school for the way they treat both children and parents. This is more than just a sports school — it is a place filled with care, respect, and genuine attention to every child.
The instructors know how to connect with kids, support them, motivate them, and at the same time teach discipline, confidence, and self-control. My child attends classes with joy and enthusiasm, and as a parent, that means everything to me.
The school has a warm, family-like atmosphere where effort is valued just as much as results. It is wonderful to see how children grow here not only physically, but also emotionally and mentally.
Thank you for your professionalism, kindness, and for doing so much more than just training. We are truly happy to be part of your school“

98 Clarksville Rd, Folsom“Best training you’ll find! Also the belt promotions are legitimate and recognized by the governing party of Taekwondo in Korea. There are other places around town that just buy belts on amazon and pretend to be legitimate. This was the first Taekwondo studio in Folsom and is the absolute best.“
3 - 7:30PM
2801 Zinfandel Dr, Rancho Cordova“My son (4) and daughter (5) have been part of the Little Dragons taekwondo program for a year now, and the growth in their behavior and maturity has been truly incredible. I feel so fortunate to have them training under GrandMaster Lee.
His dedication is unmatched; you can tell master genuinely cares for every student. It is evident by the extra time he spends before and after class providing free tailored 1-on-1 instruction.
Beyond self-defense techniques, he instills vital foundational life skills like facing challenges with confidence, public speaking, and self discipline. I consider this martial arts training a worthwhile investment in my children’s future, and it is already paying off. If you are looking for a fun and enriching extracurricular activity outside of typical youth sports, Lee’s Martial Arts is it!“

2440 Fulton Ave unit #8, Sacramento“A good place to learn capoeira and some of the unique associated instruments. The workouts after classes are also a great option, involving cardio weights and capoeira related movements. The students are a wide range of abilities and Mestre Aranha holds a welcoming space. Classes regularly review the beginning skills if needed (while keeping the challenge for more advanced students) so anytime is a good time to give it a try!“

4711 Whitney Ave, Carmichael“This dojo feels like a truly traditional place to study jiu-jitsu. Instead of having many different instructors, there is a real sensei who consistently teaches the students and builds strong relationships with them. That continuity makes the training feel authentic and respectful to the traditions of martial arts.
What I appreciate the most is how much attention the instructor gives to each student. The groups are small, so everyone gets personal guidance, corrections, and support. It really helps students understand the techniques better and improve faster.“

My twins have started to learn Martial Arts from him since they were 4 years old. Now they are 7 years old. They adore him.
Shifu gives them confidence, techniques and positive behaviors.
I am so thankful we are part of the Shoshu family.“

“Amazing place to learn martial arts!! Family friendly. Empowering for boys, girls, men, and women. They do a wonderful job of integrating critical life lessons into every practice. Flexible scheduling and reasonable prices. The staff truly care about teaching. My daughter is a Junior Black Belt and has attended classes twice per week since she was 5 years old (she will be 13 years old in August). Before coming to Kovar's, we tried out other dojos, and I can honestly say that Kovar's is light-years above the rest. No hype or bravado. Tons of little touches that mean a lot, such as greeting everyone (students and parents/guardians) by NAME when they enter the dojo (and saying goodbye when they leave). The camps and parent-nights-outs are awesome. Less emphasis on tournaments than on classes, which suits us well (but tournaments are available for those who want them). We love being part of the Kovar's family.“
