About Aikido & Healing Arts Center of Roseville
The Aikido & Healing Arts Center of Roseville, founded by Dojo Cho Kevin Kemper, offers a welcoming environment for practitioners to learn the Japanese martial art of Aikido. Located in an environmentally friendly building, the center features a large mat and a friendly community that has grown to call the center home. Over the years, the dojo has become affiliated with the Aikikai Hombu Dojo, run by the Ueshiba Family, through its association with the California Aikido Association Division Two under Michael Friedl Shihan. The center receives praise for its supportive and encouraging atmosphere, where students can learn the movement and life principles of Aikido. Visitors describe the group of aikidoka as solid and approachable, making it a highly recommended place to train.
This is a beautiful dojo. The instructors are kind, welcoming, and incredibly skilled. I highly recommend this dojo to anyone interested in learning martial arts. Training here has been a great experience.
What a wonderful dojo. I have met so many new friends. The teaching I have received is mind blowing. The instructors are very skillful but humble and generous with their knowledge. I would have joined MUCH earlier I had known what an abundance this place offers. Come and check out the dojo! You will not be disappointed.
I’ve been involved in martial arts since an early age, and after returning to it years later, I can honestly say that Aikido, especially as taught at this center, is something truly special.
What stands out to me is the authenticity. Unlike many modern martial arts schools that feel heavily driven by marketing and commercialization, this dojo focuses on the art itself. Even in my earlier experience with Karate, there was some level of commercialization, but nothing like what you often see today. Here, that promotional fluff is completely absent.
