“Short version: coming here truly helped me to heal from an ankle injury. I highly recommend John Luna-Sparks for any help with pain! His caring attitude combined with his extensive knowledge make him an amazing provider.Longer version: I had an ankle injury, with damage to various tendons and ligaments, keeping me not only from walking as much as I’d like but also from driving.My regular doctor did a quick video visit with me and then gave me some generic exercises to do.My friend, an ER nurse, recommended John for sports medicine acupuncture. I contacted her the week I came down with Bell’s Palsy (partial facial paralysis) after my doctor said acupuncture might help. I was a mess—scared and unsure of what was going on with my body. I went to Aaron a few years ago because I was having pain in my shoulder and I mentioned I also had suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for several years. He then used a Traditional Chinese Medicine medical massage to stretch my hip, leg and stomach muscles and IN ONE SESSION my IBS was gone after years of suffering from it. “Tracy is fantastic, for so many reasons! I came to Island Acupuncture for fertility support, once we decided to expand our family with baby #2. I had never gotten acupuncture before, and I'm so grateful to have found Tracy. It took us 7 months to conceive our first child (within average but still grueling!), so at the young age of 36 I wanted to do all I could to improve our chances with baby #2. So to Island Acupuncture I went!Long story short - We got pregnant on our very first try! I started weekly sessions with Tracy about 3 months before we planned to start trying, to prepare my body for a healthy conception and pregnancy.
