It was a very old and beautiful head stone that we needed to add my mother’s name on. We were going to replace it and Steve suggested restoration as the old headstones are made so much better . “This Cemetery is located in San Mateo. It is a Japanese Cemetery consisting of some of the japanese population in the bay area. The cemetery opened in 1901 due to a law change in the area. Most of the cemetery is dedicated to newer burials, however, there is an older section of the cemetery that is mainly older, historical headstones. My great-grandaunt is buried here and I went to visit this cemetery in early February. It is a very beautiful and small cemetery in the heart of Colma!“
