“I purchased 2 plots 15 years ago when my sis died. My husband has had cancer for 2 years so several months ago I purchased package and service. My Son in law said he had never been to a service so beautiful. The chapel, the grounds, the cards, book was all wonderful and beautiful. Anita Wong was our representative and Susan did the eulogy writing , made the cards and programs. I am so sad but happy my husband had such a wonderful memorial service.“

“Located in a rural area four miles south of Half Moon Bay, Purissima was one of the earliest settlements on the San Mateo County coast. Spanish soldiers founded the little hamlet before 1820 as an outpost for Mission Dolores in San Francisco, about twenty-five miles to the north. The lush land, ample water, and sunny climate supported the farms that supplied the mission with food. The town grew and, from the late 1840's, after the American annexation of California, continued to prosper as an agricultural community for many years. The first lumber mill was built here and the area noted for its climate and beautiful scenery eventually became somewhat of a resort for pleasure seekers. As competition from the nearby town of San Benito (now Half Moon Bay) increased, the once-thriving village of Purissima began to fade into obscurity. The town's structures were destroyed by winter storms or salvaged for building materials used elsewhere on the coast. Today, nothing remains of the town except the foundation of a one-story schoolhouse and this old overgrown pioneer cemetery marked by crumbling tombstones with nearly unreadable epitaphs.“

“I highly recommend Cypress Lawn Funeral home! We used their services for the passing of a very dear family member and we approached them while still in tears. They were so professional and respectful, comforting in being task oriented but careful not to rush us in our decisions. We chose some options but even so, when they told me they would take care of everything and I didn't quite realize until closer to the time just how many things I never would have thought of to request and I found out they already had it planned! They were present during the services and at my elbow if needed but in the shadows if not needed. They have a high professional skill level in making your pictures into a beautiful slideshow. For the same cost there is a reception room. I can say that because of the size of our family and the multi-pronged cultures that we embody, we needed the flexibility they give and we turned the facility into quite a unique event in honor of our loved one who passed, bringing in our own multi-pronged cultures including four generations, assisting in guiding those with accessibility issues, and tolerating lively children, and we were surprised how the facility served well in the face of all of this! I highly recommend them for any sort of handling of your loved one's passing.“
