Here is my experience:I needed a plumber to do the rough-in work for a kitchen and bathroom renovation on my house. The renovation is permitted and I am acting as the owner/builder GC. Most good subcontractors are very busy these days and this situation was no exception. As I am new to the area I asked around for recommendations and came up with a list of four plumbers for consideration. I met with all four and I solicited bids from three of the four. There was quite a price range in the bids and while cost was not the deciding factor, I chose Andrew Young, owner of Legacy Plumbing to do the work. I found Legacy’s pricing to be fair, reasonable, and ultimately a good value for money.First off, Andrew’s communication was excellent. He is very personable and returned phone calls, followed up without prompting and took the time to visit the site twice during the interview process. Nothing is more frustrating to me that being unable to communicate with a contractor or business and Andrew was off to a great start in this regard.Andrew’s written bid was straightforward and encompassed everything that we had discussed during the site walkthrough. Payment terms are simple and very fair. Andrew clarified a few questions that I had regarding the job and his answers told me everything I needed to know and I signed the contract for the work. We agreed upon a start date and an approximate schedule for completion. Andrew called prior to arriving on the first work date to let me know what time he would begin work. I was impressed with Andrew’s work ethic, workmanship, and his “get it done” attitude. He completed all work on time and on schedule as promised.Upon review by the compliance inspector, all of the work passed inspection and I can now move on with the next phase of the project.Legacy Plumbing offers a full line of plumbing services including repairs and inspections and although I have only used them for a retrofit/renovation, I have no doubt that their commitment to customer service will be appreciated regardless of the nature of the job.In today’s world it’s all too common to find negative reviews and it makes me happy to post an honest review of a very positive experience with a local contractor. “Our 15 year old radiant water and home water heater recently started leaking. We contacted Peninsula Hydronics/Plumbing since we recognized their trucks in Carmel on many occasions. Our first contact was on a Thursday with Lisa, Office Manager, who got us promptly scheduled same day without an emergency service rate. Radiant Heating Technician Phillip came out and triaged the problem that the heater was definitely at the end of its service life. After a consultation with owner/proprietor Pete Pinon, we agreed to go the tankless water heater route. By the following Monday, we were set up for installation! Technician Andrew and David did a superb job installing and replumbing/replacing the previously installed nightmare of piping and recalibrated our system. Due to debris in the previously installed system, Phillip managed to flush all the junk out. Throughout our project/installation, Pete (owner) checked in on the progress. At the completion our project, Lisa called to ensure our satisfaction.Bottom line, we were impressed with the expertise, professionalism, price/value, courtesy and customer experience from our team at Pen. Hydronics. We cannot say enough how impressed we were! “We had a pipe burst due to poor welding behind the tile in our shower while we were attempting to replace the cartridge to our shower handle. Alejandro and his associate were able to come same day, replace the entire shower handle and replace the busted pipe without cutting our shower tile or breaking through the outside stucco wall like other plumbers had previously recommended. Their price was WAY more reasonable than other plumbing companies in the area that we have used in the past. They were also very kind and knowledgeable. I will DEFINITELY be using them again in the future for any other plumbing issues!“

“I recently moved to a home that has well water. A few months after moving in, we noticed our water was becoming very hard with majorly unpleasant side effects. Our well water is so hard it leaves your skin with welts, the dishwasher doesn't clean dishes very well, our clothes weren't getting clean in the wash, our water heater started making loud popping sounds due to all the sediment, our shower head was getting clogged etc and this was all in a matter of months! I can't imagine living with water this hard all year round, I'd go nuts! Seriously unbearable.Luckily our home had a water softener system previously installed by Rayne Water. But unfortunately the previous homeowner didn't leave me any instructions on how to use or maintain the water softener system and I had no clue what to do to get it working (turns out it just needed salt)! So I called Rayne Water Monterey and spoke to Stephanie who was happy to help.Stephanie arranged to have a technician visit my home (I forgot his name, sorry! But he was very friendly and knowledgeable). He showed me the ins and outs of our water softener system, explained how to add salt crystals or potassium chloride (and he explained the difference between the two). I am now a water softener expert haha ;)My family is so grateful to have soft water again!! If you need a water softener system, I would recommend Rayne Water. Stephanie, the propieter, was always friendly with me on the phone. It seems she runs the majority of the business herself so it may take her longer to get back to you if you call and leave a message. However she always called me back she and followed through on her promises, and that's what matters.“
