“There are not enough superlatives to describe the job Excellence Landscaping did to beautify our front yard. The few bushes we had were stressed by the drought, our expansive front lawn had died from the drought, and our driveway and walkway were old and cracked. We decided to do a complete make-over of our front yard and talked to three different landscape companies. We decided on Excellence Landscaping because they were very responsive, had great ideas for what could be done and were reasonably priced. Selecting Excellence Lanscaping proved to be the right decision. They constructed a very attractive retaining wall that has attracted the attention of neighbors, installed papers for our driveway and walkway, and prepared the yard for drought-resistant plantings, including gopher wire, weed screening, a drip irrigation system and decorative rock. What impressed us the most is Jose and Max were on-site working every day, along with 1-2 employees, and finished the job on time and without relying on subcontractors. “Brothers Service Tree Care just pruned nearly 30 trees on my property and did an outstanding job from beginning to end.The project started with a free estimate from Angel, their arborist. Compared to talking with other arborists, I felt much more confident in Angel's knowledge of trees and recommendations for their care. Angel did a great job of explaining the why behind his recommendations and walked me through how the work would be done. Angel and the front office (Monserrat) were super responsive to my follow up requests and questions before we finalized the agreement.As discussed, Angel stopped by with the crew on the day of the job slightly early to do a walk through with my wife and me to make sure our expectations were clear. “Having worked with many contractors over the years, I have become painfully familiar with the stress the comes with feeling like I have to oversee every aspect of a project to ensure that (a) the work is completed as discussed, and (b) we don't blow past our budget. The golden question: Is it worth a bit of a premium to hand a project over to a true professional who will manage every facet of a project? In the case of working with Blue Sky, the answer is a resounding yes. KC, the project lead, is exemplary at every facet of his job. We described what we were seeking, and after a short visit to our house, he came up with a detailed plan that perfectly matched our vision. Instead of thinking, "Well, that's not quite what we had in mind..," we found ourselves saying, "We should have thought of that!" Every suggestion he made was perfectly on point, and better yet, when we asked him inane questions (which was a regular occurrence), he displayed unusual patience in answering. “We contacted Peninsula Concrete to help switch out the old water meter box at the sidewalk and repaired the sidewalk back to initial stage. This includes cutting the existing sidewalk, removing the old box, and dropping in the new larger water meter box. Dennis and his team (family business) did that flawlessly. First, Dennis stopped by onsite to discuss the job scope, then followed by a quote the same day. We explained to Dennis that we need this job done ASAP. He is able to help by sending his team to perform the job within the next few days. Most importantly, he scheduled & passed the inspection the same day they perform the prep work, which is extremely efficient. And we got our final approval the week after. Adrianna from his team is also very helpful, by providing all the required paperworks for City permit application before we start the project. We highly recommend Peninsula Concrete for sidewalk or concrete services because they did a great job and they are very helpful and accommodating.“
