“Several years ago, I had used another tree service company to remove some trees in the back yard and grind the stumps down below the surface. A few months afterwards, I used Thomas Allen tree service to remove a tree in the front yard. At the time, Thomas provided excellent value and service. He was responsive to my request for an estimate, on time, ready to start work immediately, and gave a very reasonable quote. I was extremely satisfied with Thomas' work on my front yard tree so when one of the tree stumps in the back yard that was supposed to be killed began to recently grow back I knew who to call. Again, Thomas was responsive, on time, available to start work when I needed, and provided reasonable pricing. Definitely, recommend!In the winter of 2023, Ed and his teams "Neck of the Woods" helped us again to take care of hazardous 100' tree on my property, and I cannot express how impressed I am with their professionalism and dedication. The tree had experienced a failure of one of its tops, which landed precariously on my roof. Ed provided Arborist Report and submitted to the county and diligently pursued the county to expedite the hazardous 100' tree removal with the permits. Walter was very helpful upfront to advise on arborist approved approach for wide range of oaks - one very mature, another needing care with lot dead growth and third area with oak bushes wanting grow into trees. Walter was also very willing and committed in discussions with each neighbor to do what best for all. Honestly I was amazed at teams ability to adjust for needs in each area! “Brothers Service Tree Care just pruned nearly 30 trees on my property and did an outstanding job from beginning to end.The project started with a free estimate from Angel, their arborist. Compared to talking with other arborists, I felt much more confident in Angel's knowledge of trees and recommendations for their care. Angel did a great job of explaining the why behind his recommendations and walked me through how the work would be done. Angel and the front office (Monserrat) were super responsive to my follow up requests and questions before we finalized the agreement.As discussed, Angel stopped by with the crew on the day of the job slightly early to do a walk through with my wife and me to make sure our expectations were clear. In the walk through, he noted a few extra plants that needed some trimming and kindly offered to take care of those for no extra charge.Within a day, his crew did a beautiful job of topping off and thinning out a lot of overgrown trees. “Juan and his team did a fantastic job on my backyard renovation. I can't say enough good things about Juan and would highly recommend him for any landscaping work. Mine was a major backyard renovation. We live in the hills of Belmont, which means to even access our backyard, you had to climb up a steep hill from our side yard. Half of our backyard was made up of a large hill, leaving us with little usable space. We wanted to remove the hill in our backyard, put up a new retaining wall (the old retaining wall has been there since the 60s and contains toxic materials), and install artificial turf. We've gotten a handful of quotes before being referred to Juan. Some folks quoted us double the price Juan gave, some had no experience doing such major renovations, and others just flat-out refused to do such hard work. Juan was knowledgeable and responsive, did not illegally require half of the payment up-front just to get on his schedule, and we felt more comfortable given that he was referred to us by our gardener (we've heard plenty of horror stories where contractors took the money and left the project unfinished, so reliability is #1 for us). We were able to get on Juan's schedule the next week. Juan and his team worked really hard, Monday through Saturday. This was really some of the toughest work imaginable: They have to use jack hammers and various hand-held tools to remove a hill made out of stone, then chisel the remaining hill to make it straight and leveled for the new retaining wall. Because all the houses here are built so closely together, backhoes and dump trucks could not access our yard. Juan's team had to use wheelbarrows to haul out all the concrete and rocks out by going down our steep side yard hill. Likewise, all the heavy wooden posts, retaining wall planks, bags of cement, all had to be manually carried up our side yard hill. Juan did the job perfectly and finished in one month. He didn't cut any corners in order and continued working diligently until the job was fully finished. He really went above and beyond by removing as much of the hill as possible to give us the biggest backyard space we could get. Our yard is beautiful! I look forward to working with him again on our next project.“

“The crew led by Cal Agrifolia did a great job from start to finish on the removal of two very large Monterey pines in our front yard. They gave me estimates for the tree removal and explanations of the cost and time frame for the work to be completed. They also went to the city to obtain the necessary permit to remove one of the trees. Finally they helped me to select a replacement tree required by the city. Along the way there were setbacks due to stormy weather and equipment availability, Cal kept me in the loop and provided a revised plan.I higly recommend Davey for any tree work.“
