“I met DEC Fire & Water Restoration thru my plumbing company when they repaired a water leak in the crawl space. My first contact was with Allen Jackson, local DEC business manager. He quickly assessed the damage and recommended a course of mitigation to prevent further degradation of the structure. My insurance company initially balked on honoring my claim, seemingly standard operating procedure. Allen presented arguments and evidence to counter the claim adjuster’s denial and my insurer, seeing the truth, reversed their decision and did ultimately honor the claim. None of that would have been possible without Allen Jackson’s knowledge and persistence for which I am forever grateful. On the mitigation side, I met a number of DEC techs who removed damaged material, set up ventilation fans and dehumidifiers, monitored humidity levels daily. I wish I could name them all but memory fails me. Regardless, each one was courteous, patient with questions and never hesitated to dive in and complete the task at hand, especially installing heavy dehumidifiers and ventilators in a very hot and humid crawlspace, a very difficult environment to work in. They were all outstanding. Lastly, the repair was completed quickly and expertly. Replacement of damaged sheet rock and paint matching was of such a high quality one would not know there had ever been a problem. In closing, my experience with DEC was totally and completely satisfactory. They are all excellent! If I should ever need assistance again they are my first choice. Thank you.”
