We were really happy with the results of previous work done by Artiste Renovations, and contracted them to update our kitchen and bathroom, and replace the flooring on the main level. Barry is transparent with costs and the scope of work that needs to be done, and is great at outlining different options for the homeowner. We were really happy to be kept updated about the progress of the work and the timelines we were looking at, even when things didn't go exactly according to plan. I am always so impressed with Hans and his ability to problem solve around the quirks and unexpected surprises of our older home! “We initially got in touch with Enrique through End of the Roll as we had questions regarding replacing the carpet on our stairs with Laminate. He was quite knowledgeable and pleasant right from the beginning helping us in preparing our stairs even though he did not have the job. As a result, we asked him for an estimate regarding having our home repainted. We only knew we wanted something lighter that would go well with the new flooring. Enrique suggested we go with Satin Silver as he had applied that colour, he purchases from Benjamín Moore with great results. We took his advice adding a darker colour on feature walls. We are very happy with the results with positive comments from friends who come to visit. In addition, and in a large part because we were so happy with the painting, we hired Enrique to replace our aging wooden deck with one using composite materials. My wife and I had different ideas but Enrique was able to work with us and come up with a redesigned deck we both really enjoy. With both jobs both Enrique and Peyman, who works with him, take their time, and don’t rush. When we have a question, they answer promptly, and we never had the impression they wanted to finish as fast as possible.“
“Yuri and Kevin from JK Complete did an outstanding job on a variety of home repairs including adjusting and repairing bifold doors, repairing a loose vinyl seam, replacing a sink drain, doing a complete overhaul of the fluorescent light fixtures in our basement recreation room, replacing nosing strips on the stairs to our basement, and installing baseboards in our back entry landing, plus a few more things. “Lavenders came into our lives at a very stressful time. Sewer backups are always upsetting but even more so when you're dealing with other challenges.We discovered our 60+ year-old TAR PAPER sewer line had collapsed on Thanksgiving Monday. Only a small trickle was getting through.We called three companies; none could work on our line until the following week. Then we called Lavenders. They (very wisely) keep some time open on their schedule for emergencies. And we were definitely dealing with an emergency!About an hour after we called Lavenders Sean was out to give us an estimate. It was on the lower end of the estimates we'd already received. We have a big spruce tree and two flower beds near where the sewer line is located and we really did not want them damaged. We expressed our concerns to Sean and he assured us there would be minimal if any damage.The crew from Lavenders arrived on-time early Friday morning. To a person, they were professional, considerate and thorough.They worked quickly and carefully. In 4.5 hours the job was done and the site cleaned up.The backhoe operator was amazing, digging with surgical accuracy. The only damage was the loss of part of a tree branch. The site was so clean you could barely tell where one of the holes was dug. The second hole was left open (but covered) waiting for topsoil which arrived on Monday. The young man who delivered it was very polite and hard working. He filled in the second hole and told us they could deliver more topsoil next spring if it was needed.The bill matched Lavenders' estimate. Unfortunately it was not covered by our insurance. We hesitantly reached out to Tammy asking if they offered any kind of payment plan. To our GREAT relief she said "Yes, we always try to help people."We could have cried. It was such a stressful situation, from the basement cleanup and finding someone to come out to worrying about our yard and how we were going to pay. There was absolutely no trouble from Lavenders side and in fact it all turned out better than we dared hope.We can't say enough good things about Lavenders. They are a family business providing excellent service on all levels. We will be recommending them, without any hesitation, to anyone needing their services.“
