“Last month, I had the occasion to work with Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services and the entire difficult and complicated experience was made better because of the Hills staff’s compassion, competency and caring.

My aunt unexpectedly passed away while in transit from her home in Vietnam to her second home in New Jersey. During the layover at the Seattle -Tacoma airport, she had a stroke, collapsed, was hospitalized and died within days. When we were informed that our aunt would not survive, I immediately looked online for a funeral home and cremation service in the Seattle area while being in Washington DC. We knew that she would want to be buried next to her beloved husband in Vietnam. Not many funeral homes have the expertise in shipping the ash remains internationally because of strict regulations from different countries. After the initial talk to Heather at Hill, I called and talked to a few more funeral homes but concluded that Hill knew best what we needed.
Both directors Heather and Renae were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I requested that Hill give us the exact time of cremation so that families and relatives im both countries could coordinate a rosary and prayer for our aunt and Hill assisted us.

Hill worked closely with me throughout the whole ordeal of cremation, getting info from various offices, completing all required paperwork and shipping the remains to Vietnam. They kept us informed and always returned our calls. We learned a lot from the experience and are truly grateful for the service and support received from Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

“Came by to visit the graves of several relatives yesterday with my Dad. We lost my grandma (dads mom) a couple years ago. My dad and I inquired with the front desk to see how much putting a vase would cost and Jessica promptly arranged getting a maintenance person to put one in immediately since we were already there. Jessica was personable and kind, asking questions about who we were visiting and making a phone call to maintenance, Mike, right away. Mike came by quickly and within 5 minutes we had a vase for my grandma. Thank you so much for making this difficult situation easier for us.“

“We picked up my childhood dogs ashes today, once my mom came home with the box i was very happy about receiving paw and nose prints of my sweet boy and the urn box is very very nice and came in a nice velvet bag. We had a small hiccup about a cremation date certificate but they fixed it right away and was so apologetic and sent us a corrected certificate. They are great people and care about their work. I know that he was taken great care of throughout the whole process and respected as if it was their own pup. We used “the good life” for home euthanasia services and that experience was very very nice the dr was so sweet and even took time to write us a sweet card and have a phone call with us a week after because we were having a hard time but assured us that for his maximum comfort this was the best decision.“
