It's a great environment for them to have fun, learn martial arts, and also develop social and leadership skills. They are also learning to self advocate and Master Gilbert has been a great leader.“

8920 122nd Ave NE, Kirkland“My son felt very welcomed starting martial arts. The instructor and assistants are attentive and work directly with students to ensure proper form. The class structure offered consistency and different skills would be taught within the class depending on skill levels of students. I really appreciated the incorporation of life skills within each session and as outside of class work. Highly recommend!“

While it has only been about 2 months our son is excited to attend class and is beginning to bring his class lessons home and into his everyday life. We are excited to see how are son will grow in Master Kim’s Little Dragon program.“

Our 7 year old daughter's confidence was transformed and she felt such a sense of accomplishment when she earned her first promotion. I'm disappointed that we won't be able to continue here because we've moved, but strongly recommend.“

1950 130th Ave NE # 3, Bellevue“Master Jones and the team at AKMA are outstanding. Super friendly, supportive, overall an amazing place to go to. I recently started attending the adult classes and I'm really satisfied with both the way the academy runs the classes and the improvements in physical and mental health. Give it a go!“

6601 132nd Ave NE, Kirkland“I love this place! It is clean, pleasant and suitable so that we can observe our children from a small box.
David started classes 2 weeks ago and is very happy with everything he has learned. It is worth mentioning that even without speaking English well and his physical limitations, they have been patient and have taught him much more than he expected; Something important that I would like to mention is that my son is used to discipline and loves what he does; We have weight loss goals for him and this is definitely working for him, I am sure he is in good hands.“

This is the one place that hasn’t changed while everything else is changing like crazy. It’s a place that always feels like a safe space to come back to.“

18210 Redmond Way, Redmond“We looked a few other places before we started, I'm so glad we choose Hwang's, the Masters and Instructors here are amazing. My seven year old has been coming for a little over 2 years now, and we're very pleased with his progress and improved confidence among other changes.“

13222 SE 30th St a4, Bellevue“I primarily train Muay Thai here, so I'll speak on that. It's a great training environment for beginners as well as competitive amateur fighters. Both coaches are absolute killers but also very nice and easy to get along with. The classes focus heavily on technique but provide a decent workout as well. More advanced people stay after class for open mat, which are mostly sparring, but you can also do bag work or work on specific drills. Egos do exist but are rare and not the norm here. Those with a lot of ego who go hard in sparring with no respect towards others eventually get it handed to them by more advanced fighters, so that balances things out and keep the training culture respectful. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try combat sports and to grow in the art of Muay Thai with a supportive group.“

4063 148th Ave NE, Bellevue“My two kids have been training here for about 2½ years, and they absolutely love it. Master Ali and Coach Andrew are extremely patient with kids and make every class fun, engaging, and interesting, which really keeps them motivated and excited to attend.
I have personally been attending the 12+ age class for over a year, and I still enjoy every session. For the adult classes, I’ve trained with Master Ali, Master Jerry, Coach Michael, and Coach Andrew — all excellent instructors. Each has their own specialty in martial arts, and they generously share not only their technical knowledge but also real life experience, which makes learning very meaningful and practical.
The instructors are passionate, supportive, and welcoming, especially for those who are new to martial arts. I genuinely love coming here and highly recommend this Hapkido program for both kids and adults. It’s a fantastic place to learn, grow, and stay motivated.“
“Bellevue Kendo is incredible. This is no "black belt mill" - you actually have to earn your advancement. It's run by Jeff Marsten (well known in Kendo) and his crew of senseis. If you want personal challenge and serious growth, or a place for your kids where they are driven and worked hard - this is it.What you get for the price is truly incredible - it must be subsidized by the city.“
“If you're looking for a welcoming and supportive martial arts community, look no further!! Everyone I've met here has been nothing short of kind and supportive!
The Enso Center is truly staying to become a second family and one of the few non-Seattle freeze environments I've experienced while being out here. I couldn't recommend it more!!!“
