“Update: after all of the terrific work that Amaya’s did for us in 2021 (see below) and again in 2023 when we did our kitchen renovation, we were very pleased to refer them to our son and daughter-in-law to remove carpeting and install LVP tiles in their large first floor closet. After returning from a two week trip to see relatives, they learned their cat had used this carpeted closet as a personal litter box resulting in a horrible odor that permeated their home. Despite a busy schedule, Amaya’s was able to remove all carpeting and instruct these novice homeowners on how to use KILZ primer to paint some unfinished wood before returning to install the beautiful LVP tiles. In 2021 Amaya’s Flooring r moved all floor surfaces on both levels of our house and installed oak wood flooring throughout. We have been very happy with the beautiful wood floors that Amaya’s Flooring installed for us. We just purchased a house and wanted all carpeting and existing wood floors removed so that there would be a great flow between rooms on both levels. The end result is just what we were hoping to achieve! Luis was truly wonderful to work with on every aspect of this job—always prompt, responsive, friendly, and courteous along with sending a terrific crew to do the work. Their retail store personnel were great as well. What really amazed us was that Luis beat all deadlines and got this job done in a very limited time before we had to vacate our temporary rental. He guided us through the process, provided us with stain samples, and kept us informed on everything, as we hadn’t moved into the house yet.We pretty much had our entire house, as well as our staircase, refinished. Our master bedroom was carpet, and he and his team ripped out the carpeting and laid brand new hardwood floors and stained them the same as all the other wood flooring he refinished. It’s seamless. “We had a fantastic experience working with Seth and Annie at Kindred Construction. We hired them to do a kitchen remodel for us that included taking down some walls to use an adjacent bedroom to make our kitchen bigger and more open, as well as rebuilding an exterior wall to add a wall of windows and a sliding glass door, kitchen cabinet installation, flooring, interior doors/trimming for pantry, and building a large deck. All of the work was extremely high quality and professional. We planned a 3 month trip to be out of our house during the construction, so we were actually communicating with Seth from Mexico while he was working at/on our house. We felt super comfortable even being thousands of miles away, as Seth communicated regularly, sent extremely detailed and lengthy updates on the work each week with photos, and called and texted us whenever he wanted to run something by us. Seth is very honest and upfront about costs, what he recommends, what he does not recommend, and what the timeline and process looks like. He was always looking out for the best solution and recommendation and ensuring cost and time efficiency. Meeting him and getting a quote was a VERY different experience from other contractors we checked with, and it felt more like working with a trusted friend than a contractor. Everything was super transparent and clear from the start. Seth wants to do a top notch job and he does not cut any corners to ensure everything is up to code (and beyond) and looks seamless.
