“I had a wonderful experience with Sunair with them installing a new heat pump at my house. They were the third company I had come out for an estimate, and I definitely trusted them the most. Black Hills heating and cooling told me that I could not get a heat pump without also getting a new furnace and wanted to charge me $18,000. I only have an eight-year-old furnace so I didn’t really want to replace it And Sunset shared with me that I didn’t have to replace it. I could get a heat pump and they could connect it to my current furnace with the cost of $8000!!! I was thrilled with their honesty. They are really out to do what’s best for the customer and are not on commission so they’re not pushy sales people.“

They texted me to let me know that the technician Sean was done early on a job and would be coming over in a few minutes. When he arrived, he was polite, concerned about our floors (ready to use shoe covers and mindful about tracking dirt/debris in). He explained the potential problems very well, and kept me informed as he worked through potential solutions. He even taught me (because I asked out of curiosity) about how some of the parts worked to keep my AC running. My technician Matt arrived on time, was very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. He went above and beyond walking me through my AC unit, explaining the issue and the path forward. He did great work in little time and also looked at my furnace just to explain the unit and give me his thoughts. I’m 75 miles away from my older parents. Their furnace quits on a Sunday. Someone’s out to check it on Monday. Parts in and swapped out on Wednesday. Something goes wrong. More parts order and swapped out on Friday. More stuff goes wrong. The end is getting a new furnace, installed on the Sunday a week after all this started.

Now for the amazing human side of this story. Kai, Cory, Cameron and Michelle kept updating me on the status of the work being done for my parents. I’m communicating via FaceTime and phone calls. Not once did I feel like they didn’t care, being given the run around, or taken advantage of. Believe me, being far away from elderly parents who need help can make anyone feel helpless. They treated me and my parents with such professionalism and kindness. Did I mention this was the time between the first snow in February and runs into Snowmageddon? They brought space heaters to them, because I mentioned how worried I was about my parents being cold and not complaining. Thank you to Community Heating and Cooling.
