A few things future customers should know:<br><br>Language: Sunny primarily speaks Korean, so booking and the appointment itself work best if you speak Korean or bring someone who does. My boyfriend called to book and came with me to translate. If you don't have a translator, bring very clear reference photos.<br><br>Asian hair expertise: This is where Sunny stands out. She has 30 years of experience in the Korean hair industry, and it shows. She immediately recognized I had Asian hair texture and cut it accordingly. A lot of stylists don't handle Asian hair correctly, but mine came out incredibly smooth and baby soft when it had been ratty for the past year.<br><br>What she did: Bob cut, fixed and thinned out a botched at-home bang job, and made sure the bangs were even with a side part. She also gave styling recommendations to bring out my features. Lots of small last-minute adjustments that showed her attention to detail.<br><br>Gentle touch: She was incredibly gentle when handling my hair and working around my ears. I have a sensitive ear bump that other stylists have historically bumped and irritated, and I also had a fresh upper ear piercing that I didn't even mention to her. She handled my head so carefully that neither was an issue.<br><br>Time and price: About an hour, very pampered the whole time. I was charged $50 (with a first-time discount), which is well below what I expected for this area and her level of experience.<br><br>Extras: Her husband was attentive too, brought my boyfriend coffee while he waited. They take tap-to-pay for both the service and tip.<br><br>Highly recommend, especially for Asian hair and Korean styles.”
