5322 Patterson Ave, Richmond“My shepherd is super reactive. BB and Dr Chub are AMAZING. No issues or shaming. I’ll never use a different vet!“

5912 Lewis Rd, Sandston“My boys Bo and Jet love coming here! When I lived in the city they went once a week and they have also stayed overnight before. Now I live two hours away, but already got a sleepover booked for later in the summer. Only place I trust to drop my dogs off at.
I remember for their fist visit after orientation the staff provided a extremely detailed text of how their day went and pictures which I really appreciated as my pups are a bit hyper and were under socialized prior to me adopting them. The staff helped my dogs work through some stiff interactions on the first day. Overall great people, super knowledgeable and trustworthy.“

2100 Maywill St, Richmond“One of our main concerns when moving to Richmond was finding a safe, loving, and fun community for our three dogs to join. We found that with Toby Town. Gloria and her team instantly welcomed our trio, and we are so grateful to have them now as a pillar of our dogs’ daily lives! We would recommend Toby Town to anyone looking for a trustworthy spot where your dogs will thrive!“
6:30AM - 7:30PM
11004 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond“This place showered my dog with love. My puppy went from scared to enter to pulling me to the door within 1 week. They knew her by name by the second day she came to daycare. The rates are great too - lots of payment options to choose from.“
8AM - 6PM
213 Granite Spring Rd, Richmond“Dogs Day Inn is the best. My dog, Juicey Moosey, is an absolute lunatic, and somehow the staff handles him like total pros. Whether it’s daycare, boarding, or grooming, I always feel good leaving him there knowing they can handle his nonsense and still seem happy to see him.
He always comes home tired, happy, and looking great after grooming. It’s obvious everyone there actually loves dogs (even the wild ones). If you have a high-energy, slightly unhinged dog like mine, I highly recommend Dogs Day Inn. They’re amazing.!“
7AM - 6PM
3510 Courthouse Rd, Richmond“The staff here are so kind and friendly. My dog, Cosette, begins smiling and wiggling as soon as we walk in the door. It is a 'no frills' place but my dog doesn't need a pool or gym equipment. She needs a loving staff and plenty of dogs to play with. It is affordable and they will even bath her and trim her nails for me. She goes to daycare 2 days a week. Because she has so many positive interactions there, she was comfortable being boarded for a few days.“

3071 Mechanicsville Tpke, Richmond“Just visited for the first time for a nail trim, but they were so friendly and professional that I immediately booked a bath appointment for my baby“
7:30AM - 7PM
4916 W Marshall St, Richmond“This is the best doggy daycare in RVA. My pup cannot contain herself when we pull in! She is so happy and absolutely loves being there. The staff are all kind, professional, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I recommend this place constantly!“
7AM - 7PM
2109 Spencer Rd, Richmond“Brittney did an incredible job with my very dog reactive rescue, Marley. Before training, Marley became extremely overwhelmed around other dogs, people and new environments, and seemed unsure of how to handle those environments. Now, she has minimal reactions around other dogs, has enjoyed many off-leash adventures and is so much more confident. The biggest change is how much happier and at ease she seems knowing what is expected of her. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Brittney and the difference her training has made!
Impawsible Pups itself is wonderful as well. Marley was always excited to return each week which gave me so much peace of mind knowing how much she enjoyed her time there, and I anticipate having her enrolled in their daycare soon!“

9200 Stony Point Pkwy #155A, Richmond“I’ve always had a good experience bringing my dog Charlie here to be groomed. They always groom him beautifully and seem to be very caring towards him.“

4111 W Clay St, Richmond“This place is so amazing!!! They really live up to their slogan: “where every dog is family”!“
7AM - 7PM
614 Johnston Willis Dr, Richmond“This was the first time I've boarded Buddy (my nine year-old cat) and he was a bit shocked to be left there. I wasn't exactly impressed by some of the staff, and I found it impossible to reach a human by phone. I thought the so-called cat condos a bit cramped, but Buddy did well after going off his food for a day or so.
For short-term boarding, I would recommend Holiday Barn.“
9AM - 6PM
4401 Jacobs Bend Drive, North Chesterfield“Jennifer is incredible! After the initial phone call we could tell right away that she was going to be amazing.
Our dog was so anxious that he was afraid of the wind blowing through the trees when we got him, and had leash reactivity. By the time we finished working with her he has so much more confidence and isn’t reactive on leash. Jennifer helped us learn how to read his body language, how to build his confidence, and how to turn him from a fearful rescue to a trusting companion.
We could not be more pleased with Jennifer, her patience, compassion, knowledge, and the amazing fear-free methods she utilizes. We would recommend her to anyone!“

7:30AM - 7PM
4800 Thalbro St, Richmond“DogServices – the Thalboro location showed me a level of kindness I will never forget. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and going through treatment, I was worried about how I would manage everything since I live alone, including caring for my dog, Franklin. The team stepped in to help make sure he could still get to daycare by arranging pickups and drop-offs.
But what meant even more was their compassion. They checked in on me and even offered help with things that had nothing to do with daycare — simply because they cared. They even sent Franklin home with a complimentary bath and made sure he got plenty of love and snuggles while he was there.
Franklin absolutely loves going there, and I am deeply grateful for the support they showed during one of the hardest times in my life.
If you are looking for a place that truly loves animals and the people who love them, this is it. ?“
“Bottom line: Kasey and the 2SD team are AMAZING! I cannot express how grateful I am for Kasey’s dedication, patience, and knowledge.
Our pup did great in puppy classes, but when he started exhibiting unwanted behaviors during basic training classes, we worked with Kasey 1:1 and couldn’t be more thankful for her help. We’ve learned the obedience, but the biggest help has been learning to shape his behavior and mindset to be a calmer and more secure dog. He would not be flourishing now without her help.
I also appreciate the flexibility in making up classes if you miss one, the experiences with play groups and pack walks, and always being approachable and accessible for questions. The team’s passion is unmatched. 10/10, highly recommend.“
7:30AM - 6PM
1 E Belt Blvd, Richmond“My dog Nova sustained an injury while out and about and was in a lot of pain. Our regular vet did not have availability to see her, so I called here and they were able to get her seen within an hour and a half. The staff were helpful and showed Nova so much care and affection. Dr. Infantes was great about communicating his thoughts and desired approach, and they kept me informed throughout the whole process. They were upfront about costs, and I appreciated being able to have the required meds filled in-house instead of having to go to a pharmacy.“
10AM - 8PM
2004 Tomlynn St, Richmond“What a wonderful volunteer organization!! A loving, caring and training philosophy. I have taken 2 classes. They were very educational, well-organized with dedicated and friendly staff Almost 1 on 1 training.“

“I am struggling to know what to say. I brought my GSD to Mark for behavioral issues and by the end of the evaluation, I felt like I had a completely different dog. I even took him to PetSmart afterwards which is something I would have NEVER done before because of my dog’s reactivity but he was amazing. How we were told to walk him, speak to him, everything worked. He stayed right beside us, didn’t make a noise and even waited in line more patient than I’ve ever seen. Mark was brutally honest and very straightforward but that’s something I needed. What I was doing obviously wasn’t working and I needed help. He broke it down for me, explained everything that wasn’t working and everything that would. Mark gave me hope and I am forever thankful for him.“
