“You have to appreciate a stylist who looks you in the eye and, with all the sweetness in the world, tells you that silk press you so desperately wanted will look slightly crazy on your cute TWA and to come back when there are a few more inches of hair to "press". Yes, I thought I had enough hair for it to be straightened into a silky pixie cut resembling what I used to rock when my hair was relaxed. Stacey walked me through her silk press process and explained why my hair needed more length to achieve the look I wanted. In fact, her (somewhat) exact words were, "Honey, I'm not gonna take your money knowing you won't get what you want". I was grateful for her honesty and the dose of reality. So since I couldn't have a silk press, I asked for a proper haircut...and Stacey delivered - giving me a tapered cut that I was very happy with. As others here have said, Stacey is a talented hair stylist (able to work with relaxed and natural hair) with a wonderful spirit. I couldn't be happier to have found her.“

The location for her salon hasn't always been convenient for me (I used to live in Dupont Circle) and I tried different salons and stylists, but I have always come back because she's that good and reliable. She's great with color and cuts and she's reasonably priced. She's easy to talk to and doesn't pressure you into doing (or buying) anything, but will give you her honest thoughts when you ask for them. I've gotten many, many, many compliments over the years after she's done my hair. Love her!“
