Our old deck was badly weathered and in need of replacement. The search for the right contractor for the job took quite a bit of time until we found Dan. Within a few short days Dan sized up the job and made us a very fair and competitive offer to build exactly what we wanted while conforming to all building codes.
The first day on the job, the old deck was gone. Amazingly just a week later, our beautiful new deck was completed.
Dan is highly experienced at what he does. He developed a lot of clever techniques over time that enables him to work very efficiently. But he does not cut any corners, which makes the local inspectors’ jobs very easy.

H&H Hardwood, Dan and John, are not merely flooring installers. Truly they are craftsmen, so rare in this day and age. They have completed two jobs for us, both using reclaimed pine and in an older home with nothing in square. When they were finished, it was perfect. Communication with Dan was great, they came exactly when they said and were so clean that we hardly knew they were ever here. They take pride in their work and it shows in the finished product. A few months ago i had vision problems and it was scary. a contact had stuck to my eye and left it burning immensely. Dr. Nguyen not only assured me but gave me the proper medicine to help soothe the pain. she was very sweet and understood the intensity of my situation and got to it immediately.
I just recently went in to get my s/o glasses including an eye exam. We had some miscommunication with the receptionist involving our insurance. By the end of our visit they had fixed the issue & we felt a lot better about our situation.
Jason did a great job. I spoke with him about some around the house work. Updating things fixing broken items. In a rough list: Redo a deck bench, fix a on wall book cabinet, some drywall patching, some painting, a gate, floating shelves, and installing a cabinet. I have so say he nailed it. The work is exquisite and all with a majority of extra scrap lying around. Of course somethings were needed to be purchased but everything in life costs something. Speaking of prices, his are amazing for the quality of work you get. I have recommend him to all of my friends and family. I have no complaints at all. I was going to get a picture of the gate, but it's cold and windy. Trust me it's awesome.
Frank was informative about what was needed to be done and how he was going to fix it. I had siding damage from a storm and now it looks like it never happened.

Studio Verde is the best gem I have found in Front Royal. I’ve gotten facials, waxing and nails done and each time perfection. Special shout out Alexandra! I got my first ever facial with her and now close to 2 years later it’s a standing monthly self care appointment for me.
Crystal gave my now almost 4 year old daughter her first haircut around 2 years old. She's the only person who has cut my daughter's hair since. She shares helpful advice for upkeep and maintenance. We were in recently, and I showed her a picture of how I wanted my daughter's hair cut (we were looking for something shorter and easier to care for) and she completely nailed it! Not to mention, my daughter feels comfortable around her and she always goes the extra mile to make my daughter feel like a princess, which is super sweet. They always make time to fit clients in. I'd recommend Crystal and all the other ladies at the salon in a heartbeat.
Excellent cut for a very fair price. I'll definitely be coming back here on the regular.

It seems like I've tried every shop in Front Royal, and left each one unsatisfied. So my husband says, I think Jamie can give you a nice haircut, and I found myself in her shop this morning. We had a blast talking, discussing my hair, and understanding what I was looking for. She took her time, and that was very appreciated. Another plus is that I can walk in, no appointment, whenever the mood strikes me to get my hair cut! Thank you Jamie! ;)

Went in for a walk in cut, was graciously greeted right away and asked to sign in and wait. Within 3 minutes I was in a chair. The gentleman asked what I wanted I showed him several styles photos and he recreated it wonderfully. The cut was quick and skill full and the conversation was light, professional, and pleasant. I went from a long wavy/curly hair style about 6 or 7 inches to a professional short/medium scissor cut with quiff. My hair is wavy curly and can be difficult to style but he masterfully worked it into a professional cut. Last year I went to best buds barbershop across the street and they absolutely butchered my hair and overcharged and wouldn't issue a refund once I got a better look at it. I went to this place and he wonderfully reworked it and saved my beautiful hair just in time for my anniversary dinner and with no charge! I absolutely recommend this barber shop to anyone that's looking for kind and knowledgeable professionals. The price was very reasonable as well, only $20. I ended up tipping 100% because of the extreme satisfaction, so even with the price and tip it's still less than most of other shops. I seriously can't recommend this shop enough!

Excellent customer service, fast response time, and extremely reasonable pricing. I had a service technician come and replace my sink faucet, and he was in and out in under half an hour with amazing work.
It was a Friday night when the well stopped. No water in the house. Stanley Plumber came out on a Saturday and took care of it quickly. I was able to get water back — on a weekend. Most other plumbers would not even answer the phone on a Saturday. Very good service.
G to G has been to my home several times in the past few years for a variety of electrical needs. Each technician has been , knowledgeable, professional, respectful and an absolute pleasure to have at our home. From the initial call from us to the office to the completion of the work, everyone at G to G is wonderful to deal with. This team did a wonderful job - excellent workmanship, skill and very organized and clean. Their woodworking is impeccable...we did a large outdoor kitchen out of large beams out here in LEX VA- they worked to custom-create it and exceed our expectations. Great communication and very trustworthy- my husband worked on it all with them through design process and waiting periods as we prepped our outdoor space...They were patient and flexible with us! We hope to do more work with them soon and would highly recommend them. Great guys and excellent at their trade.

Joe took on my job at the height of the pandemic back in 2020. He did s fantastic job under pressure given all the logistical challenges of that difficult period. The foundation he poured is solid and has held up well over the past five years! He cleared tons (literally) of boulders on a hill side to make it happen.
Would recommend him to anyone with a challenging foundation construction situation.

I very rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to do so for JC Tree Care. I called them Monday afternoon to get someone out to my house to look at four trees I wanted taken down. Within 15 minutes after I called, Jim was at my house to give me a quote. The price was reasonable and the guys were on site at 7:30 the next morning.
From initial call to the completion of the job was less than 24 hours - virtually unheard of in my experience with local contractors! I will definitely use them again in the future.

It is a house, a calm small office, where they do their best to minimize potential chaos so sometimes you have to wait in your car until the previous client comes out, or shift your seat to give everyone space (especially the animals) since going to the vet is stressful , I appreciate being seen one at a time.
When my GoGo was starting to decline in her age and poor health and I talked to Dr Sullivan about the “what ifs” she spoke with me in a gentle, knowledgeable way (her way) about options and some possible outcomes: re end of life. I appreciated this tough, practical yet kind conversation , it prepared me for the time ahead.
